The_Next_Big_Thing
Question????????If Spain and Bax jump off the BengalBand wagon Who would hit the ground 1st??? Neither, hot air rises! Why do you think are O looks rough? Eveytime braham goes down this O doprs a level of play. Mark my words if he plays we will blow out the titans by 14!For a rookie second day pick, up against one of the best defensive tackle tandems in the league, away, in prime time, at night after having all day to let it get to him, under the lights, Bluto did fantastic. Yes, on a few plays he got flat out beaten. Guess what, that happens to pro-bowl centers too against guys like this in circumstances like this. Bluto IS our new center, and Braham will have an extra week to heal when he starts again next week.

Just think about how many games could have been salvaged during the past 2 years if the Bengals actually had access to the football knowledge possessed by somebody like Spain. And to think, Braham was dressed and ready to play...ah, the irony of it all!
Columbusbengal
Why do you think are O looks rough? Eveytime braham goes down this O doprs a level of play.Actually, I agree with this. I know Guycheck played well and I expect he eventually will be fine as a replacement for Richie. But, we don't know how many plays the offensive line got a late jump on the defense because they were just a split second late due to being certain about whether Guycheck would be doing what he was supposed to be doing (or whether someone jumped offsides because Guycheck gave some kind of body cue without meaning to do it). It seems like a lot of O-line play might simply be dependent on knowing one another't tendencies really well. Against a defense not quite so good or if we were playing at home, it might not have mattered.Anyway, I agree with Willie - we seem to have a center for the future! Kirkendall
If the "experienced" offensive line lives and dies by a rookie center, than there's a coaching problem there.

Maybe in the future, but I don't think he could do it next week.
