Takeo to Bills doesn't seem to have turned out so bad now...

B) I didn't think this was a bad deal from the time it was made.

TKO and CD took different paths to the same spot. Neither of them wanted to be here any longer and healthy or not .... pro bowl talent or not ...... they just plain were not going to play to their potential for the Bengals. That in itself made them useless to us, so all the rest is details.

Now if they go somewhere else and revive their careers then God bless 'em. As to how they do for their new teams ............. Pro Bowl or Toilet Bowl... It's all the same to me.

Bengals offense and defense have never performed at this level while they were here, so I'm fine with it.

Pour me a cold one ... and get one for the rest of the guys too while you're at it.

We ID Under 30 ..... Griz ,, NJ,, et. al. you're on Root beer

I think this is was probably Marvin's greatest achievement in rebuilding the team --- knowing who would be able to get with the program (Simmons, Willie) and who would be second-guessing him (Takeo, Leon) all the way to mediocrity.

And the development of Carson has gotta look abso-freakin brilliant to anybody who had their doubts. The man had a plan.

Takeo griped so much about being on a loser. I think the Bills will have a worse record than the Bengals for this year and probably next

I agree, I have more against TKO than Dillon, he was not only ready to leave, but he was laughing on the way out. Dont like to see anyone injured, but regardless, the situation here is a bit sunnier these days.

I was disappointed that Takeo didn't want to stick around and play for Marvin, but he handled himself differently than Dillon and I've never wished him any harm since leaving. He's still a favorite and I was bummed seeing him being carted off with a towel over his head.

One note about Dillon, I was watching the Patriot/Steeler game and they quoted him saying that LeBeau will always be his coach and that he felt Dick wasn't given enough time to turn things around in Cincy.

My take? Dillon is absolutely clueless and never gave Marvin's program a chance.

BTW, I think this smilie is being ignored. :soccer:

Not piling on Dillion, because I really liked him as a Bengal and wished he'd given Marvin a chance. A change of scenery was needed.

Anyway, Back to my point... I noticed in the couple games I've watched, when Dillion isn't getting his carries, or making his yards, It always seems Brady has to go talk to him and get his head back in the game. That may be me looking for something, or it may be the way the TV cameras focus on it, or it may be coincidence, but it is something that I noticed. My first thought.... He's still not happy!.

I wouldn't be happy, either, especially after failing to break 100 yards in the first three games and not having any answers for why.

It must eat him alive to know that Tom Brady, and not the Great and Powerful Leon, is winning games for the Pats.

Dillon=Bitch, but doesn't matter as he's not a part of this team any longer. TKO on the other hand is a beast of a middle LB and would have loved to see him stay on with Marvin. Can't complain how things turned out in the long run at all. Hate all you want, TKO is an animal. I for one think it's a shame he's hurt. To bad for the Bills, as the defense is not going to be bailing out Losman, who's obviously having the pains many thought he would. I was thinking the D would give Losman the time to figure it out and keep things close in the standings, but it's amazing how quickly things change. Here's to hoping we stay injury free !!! :crutches:

WHODEY !!!

My problem with the both of them is that they were supposed to be team leaders ...... and leaders don't jump ship. Now Dillon for his part never wanted to be a leader of anything except the payroll and he made no secret of it. TKO on the other hand was the self styled ... self proclaimed leader of the defense .... and it always came off as more than just a little self serving. One of his " team goals " when he got to Buffalo was to make the pro bowl ... because now he would get the national exposure he deserved but never got in Cincy. When they hired Lablow in Buffalo TKO beamed " that's great .. cause he knows what I like and what I don't like." Maybe he didn't know that the whole team didn't get to go if he made the pro bowl ??? I dunno.

TKO also and most importantly wasn't a coach Lewis type. He ( the coach ) did let one comment slip when he was told how much TKO had signed for in Buffalo. It was " That's a lot of money for a linebacker that doesn't rush the quarterback. " There was no way that the coach was going to sign him to a new contract, .... and I'm going out on a limb here but I think he would have traded him anyway even if his contract hadn't been up. No way to know for sure of course.

Dillon is a head case. He went spaz in college ( which is why he wasn't a 1st rounder ) He went spaz here even tho he pledged undying gratitude for the Bengals giving him a chance when it seemed no one else would ... Actually he went spaz on us a couple of times ..... Anyway .. as Redsfan 75 noted Dillon requires regular counseling from Brady even at this point ........ and sooner or later it won't take anymore and ..... he'll go spaz in N.E. He can't help it .... That's what nuts do. After he retires we'll read where he went spaz in Florida or something.

Last point ... when several of the Bengals heard that Spikes was hurt, they called him. That's a class act to contact a former team mate who's down. I doubt that it would have been done in the past ... probably not by Spikes ... and dam sure not Dillon .... But it is Now. It just shows the difference in the character level of the guys on the team.

So there you have it. Just my opinion, but one has a swelled head and the other is a head case and we're better off without the both of them. I'm glad they're gone.

You know...I don't really wish injury on too many people...I'd rather them be perfectly healthy and still kick their ass.

However, i do enjoy when teams pick a guy who is an ass...Owens, Dillon, Moss and sooner or later they show their true colors. There are a lot of arrogant teams that think..."oh, it's just his situation...he's not gonna be an ass when he gets here."

And for the first year, they are an angel...ala Dillon and Owens...But you can't keep a serious a**h*** down. Soon enough the floater is gonna surface, and then they are going to look at each other thinking.."I can't believe he's an a**h***."

That's when I smile...Oakland, Moss is coming...maybe next year, but he's coming.

Owens delivery date was a bit premature, he could have at least waited for the season to start.

Dillon is right on time.
