combatbengal Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 I didn't see Henry out there and he didn't earn me any points on fantasy football. Is he hurt? Thurman looks like he should of been our #1 pick. Quote
oldschooler Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 He was inactive. The Bengals could only dress 45 players. 5 WR`s were all they went with... Quote
bengalindian Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 He's on your fantasy team???Please tell me that your fantasy team consists of all Bengals. Quote

Marvin decided to go with more defensive linemen and linebackers available than normal because he expected a punishing run game from Romeo Romeo whereforth art thy Romeo. We had fewer WR and CB than normal. Quote

buck3y3d Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 Only 2 quarterbacks count towards your 45 man roster, and a 3rd is allowed to dress without taking a spot. Therefore, Craig dresses. BTW, i think there are better WR out there for a fantasy team than Henry. I'm thinking a solid number 2 from some team should be availabe (depending on the number of teams in your league). Quote
Kazkal Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 henry woulden't be horrible number 3# I think he might be a fairly good redzone target for us with his size Quote
bengalindian Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 No, it doesn't matter how big your fantasly league is, Chris Henry is not a logical anything WR at this point in time. If you're planning on competing, drop Henry in favor of any other #2 in the NFL. Hopefully he's a good fantasy player by the end of the year, but the Bengals are too stacked at WR to have anyone but Housh or CJ on your team. Quote

turningpoint Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 makes no sense though if you have a 12 man league that means you should have at least 2 teams #1's....and then some, then's there's #2 wr's still to go...seriously makes no sense as to how you could possibly have him in your fantasy lineup. BengalPappaw Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 The problem with Henry is NOT physical, its mental -- he just hasn't learned the plays. Thus, he done not KNOW what to do in all the required situations. Since the Browns were going to blitz, the receivers had to know their routes and adjustments. Henry just isn't ready -- yet!! Give him time. Its not something that he can't learn, it just takes time. BTW I found it ironic that a lot of the West Virginia receiving records that Henry broke were those owned by Reggie Rembert -- who also had a tough time learning his play book. Quote

Its possible that Henry could be valuable if you have a league that allows you to start four WR's like I'm in. If I had Henry, in that type of league, I would keep him. But I certainly wouldn't start him until he starts to show something. Quote
jamesbrooks21 Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 Henry is on my fantasy team too. He will be contributing sooner rather than later. Quote

Sportsdoc Posted September 13, 2005 Report Posted September 13, 2005 Kwalt played (with a TD)............Guess if you play good special teams, then you might get more playing time. Quote
Sportsdoc Posted September 13, 2005 Report Posted September 13, 2005 From Fox Sports....................Kevin Walter - #83 - Wide Receiver - 6'3" - 214lbsKevin Walter caught four passes for 47 yards and a touchdown in week one. It was Walter, not Kelley Washington or Chris Henry, that was the team's third receiver Sunday. He'll probably keep the job with this performance Quote
OWB4 Posted September 13, 2005 Report Posted September 13, 2005 You know what was weird? Me being a HUGE Chad Johnson fan didn't panic as myuch as i thoguht i would when chad limped off the field. Why? Becuase he has a pretty decent backup in Chris Henry. What's great about our recieving corps is that if god-forbid Chad or TJ gets injured they have so much depth that whoever takes their place will have a great year. Quote
