Bengals4Me
The following article should be welcome news for the Carson Palmer to Chad Johnson long-ball connection that's been in hiding so far this year:CB Baxter, RB Suggs doubtful for Browns opener Sep. 7, 2005CBS SportsLine.com wire reports BEREA, Ohio -- Cornerback Gary Baxter and running back Lee Suggs were listed as doubtful on Cleveland's first injury report of the season, another sign they may miss the Browns' opener against Cincinnati. Baxter hasn't practiced since sustaining a concussion in an Aug. 20 exhibition against Detroit. Browns coach Romeo Crennel said Baxter was scheduled to see a doctor on Wednesday. If Baxter can't play, Leigh Bodden will start at right cornerback on Sunday, with Daylon McCutcheon on the other side. McCutcheon missed all of training camp and most of the exhibition season with migraine headaches. If McCutcheon is rusty, Baxter is out and a former special teamer - Leigh Bodden - is starting at CB, the Bengals better be able to pass effectively to their WR's. Let's hope the CP to CJ connection opens the season with a huge BANG!

derekshank
When I first read the title of this thread, I thought it said "Cleveland Secondary Hunting" which is just as appropriate. We could probably sell the meat to some Chinese Restaurant. Bobcat Bengal
Maybe Chad should've waited on his Peptol Bismol stunt. He might really make those DB's sick this time around.
JPW
Baxter being out "hurts" the browns ?I believe that our WRs were very happy to have him playing against us last year.
OrangeStripes
Baxter is NOT a main asset to the browns... even in warmup he cant get anything going against their offense. But if their starting cornerbacks get injured, then they will have to turn to their backup safteys which wont be good at all.
