jbengals1
Here is a little abought why he sighned to coach the Bengals“To be with Marvin Lewis,” Jackson said of the Bengals head coach. “And to be with that staff that he’s created. Guys like Bob Bratkowski, Leslie Frazier. Ken Zampese. It’s a chance to be a part of something special and I think everybody can see that the future is very bright there.” -- pluse he recruited Palmer to play college Ball

It's obvious that Lewis has a very high opinion of him. The fact that he's anxious to work with Lewis again harks back to what was bieng said of Lewis when he was hired ....... that it would make it easier to draw top talent to the team. I really don't know much about this guy, but it sounds like a good beginning.
Kirkendall
Kind of cool that we have two guys that are potential OC candidates of the future in Jackson (he'll get a OC job sooner than later) and Zampese (I think he'll have an OC job soon). I kinda thought that would get your attention. Hopefully it got Brats as well.
kevnz
Well, it seems that the team should not be wanting for coaching on the offensive side of the ball.
Kirkendall
Soooooo basically you don't like Jackson? I really don't know anything about him so I can't weigh in much on it.I kinda thought that would get your attention. Hopefully it got Brats as well. Honestly, mark my words, I think that Zampese will be the OC before long. I think he's got a knock of knowing the passing game and with Kitna breaking the Bengals single season record in attempts this season -- unless my memory fails me -- the Bengals are going pass oriented and with time in St. Louis, logic would suggest that a guy with the title, Passing Specialist while in Missouri would get the title. PLUS, since Zampese was a coach at Miami of Oxford, everyone knows about the coaching tradition in Oxford, he'll have nothing but success for the rest of his career. I'm really high on him and think that one day, maybe not for the Bengals, that Ken will be a household name for his innovative approach to the passing game. But he first needs an oppritunity to show his offensive mindset. For those of you that are high on Palmer -- including the popluation of Southwest Ohio -- he is one of the reasons why you should be.Man did I fall way off topic with a Zampese rant. When was the last time that happen???

The Brew Man
Its never easy to see other coaches on our staff leave and head to other teams, actually, until this year we were always glad to see them go. Hell, I still laugh whenever Dick LeBlows name is even mentioned..... and oh yeah, good hiring...
