Section 310
We are going to Chicago to see the Bengals pound the hapless Bears. Flying on Southwest out of Columbus (CHEAP!). Anyone else going to be there?? Are there any Bengal backers in Chicago??I cannot wait for September. We will be in Vegas for the opener against Cleveland..albeit with a bunch of Browns fans. Home for the Vikes and in Chicago on the 25th...WHAT A MONTH!!
The_Next_Big_Thing
Why does everyone say the Bears are such an easy game to overlook? That they are "hapless"?If Chad Hutchinson can do anything, the Bears defense (now that they are healthy) will be dominant. Remember, last year the Bears had just as many key injuries as we did, AND they lost their general on the field. Don't look at Lovie as a pushover. walshfan
I dont like the word "pushover" either... Its a matter of assembling a team thats competitive in all phases of the game and Lovie Smith is trying to do just that.Chad Hutchinson is just a very good QB though... Im not real high on Grossman either but he was the designated starter so Lovie felt they had the best chance to win with him...They are rebuilding ...they have a good defense but its going to be a long season for them.. Its a game we will be favored in.. Hopefully the final score is in our favor as well....
The_Next_Big_Thing
Don't bet on us being favored. With a front 7 of Ogunleye, Tommy Harris, Ian Scott (or Tank Johnson), Alex Brown, Lance Briggs, Brian Urlacher, and Joe Odom, they have a formidible front (only 1 of the 7 positions is weak and that's OLB on the right). In the secondary, their starting safeties of Mike Brown and Michael Green are STRONG, and both (along with Urlacher and many other defenders) were injured last year. Plus Azumah and Tilman aren't exactly slouches (or stars) for that matter.
