walshfan
I dont think KK is slow... Id like to see his forty or twenty shuffle time..Hey Im not saying he's all-pro but for a backup that seems to play every game and contributes over 60 tackles the last couple years, he doesnt "suck" either.. bengalrick
suck might be a harsh word, but he needs to be replaced imo... our secondary seems to always have injuries and i am scared s**tless w/ him in as our starting safety...btw thenextbestthing, go-bengals is back up, and here is the link to where i mentioned both mess ups by KK if you want to check them out for yourself...actually, i went back, a neither would have been td's... one was a 25 yard pass, and the other KK would have had to make a td if ramsey didn't overthrow the reciever... but keanu probably would have stopped him or at least slowed him for oneal to catch up... the other, imo he blew another coverage (both times, were slow to cover overtop) that was a 25-30 yard gain...first quarter, 13:16 left... either deltha was burnt be 3 steps or kk was late getting over... i think oneal expected double coverage, but got nothing... kk probably would have tackled him, but after he catches a 20+ pass...second big mistake, was at 1:15 in the 2nd quarter... he seemed to be late getting over again, but also a great pass and catch... either way, 25 or so yard gain...both plays munuz said he was late getting there (he thinks)... you can't assume to know the play call, but it seemed like kaesvilharn was late getting there... the whole point i guess, is madieu won't make many mistakes, and will turn their mistakes into all kinds if s**t... kk just scares me, when he is playing, besides special teams... schweinhart
I would say K2 is refreshingly average. He poses no threat to the players ahead of him, but until better personnel are brought into the fold, they've pretty much got to stick with him. He's not going to get there over the top in a hurry but neither is Herring. He's a mismatch in any kind of man coverage of WR but can almost play quarters at corner well enough for an emergency. I'd rather see the whole safety position overhauled except for Madieu. But that doesn't look like it will happen this year. The game tonight should be a good test of the safeties early w/ TO and Reggie Brown on the field because both of them will be a chore for the CBs. I'd like to see Reggie Myles knock the slop out of one of them.
schweinhart
I interested in seeing: 1. How Palmer/Offense step up the scoring and passing game. 2. How well David Pollack Plays. 3. Progress of Thurman at MLB 4. Depth of the Defensive backs at stopping the Eagles passing game. Pap,I for one would be interested to hear what you thought of Pollack -- I won't see the game until Monday. I'm betting you've watched more tape on Pollack than anyone else on this board.Looks like you called the depth at DB in this one. I'm thinking the Bengals might need to go out and get a couple of safeties to vie for spots, especially if Herring's shoulder injury is serious (well, actually either way). There's a few out there but not very promising ones -- Tony Dixon, Antuan Edwards, and Aaron Francisco.
