combatbengal Posted August 24, 2005 Report Posted August 24, 2005 It has to be addressed. I can't believe the UC is going to get rid of bobbie Huggins. There goes the basketball program! Yes he got caught drinking and driving last year. and he was suspended for his actions. He stood up like a man and took responsibility for what he had done wrong. Look at pro athletes. They do drugs, beat their wive, drink and drive, etc. They don't loose their job over it. In my opinion, this is wrong. Good bye final 4!

Good bye final 4!I think the point is that since he's in a position of leadership and a teacher of young people, he sends a bad message and has no credibility. Add to that the complete lack of control he's had over the program, considering more of his players end up with rap sheets than diplomas, and I'd say it's long overdue. The kind of kids he seeks out would be booted out of Duke or UK in a week. Schools like that don't keep kids that punch their girlfriends, or police horses. On the other hand, they're Huggins' kind of people.I'd rather cheer for a team that fights to make the tourney with decent kids than cheer for a final four team of felons.
