Is Patrick Ramsey a national figure?

So it turns out that the WB affiliate in L.A. will be showing the Bengals-Redskins game :D, but the promo runs something like this...

"Patrick Ramsey, Clinton Portis and the Washington Redskins take on Chad Johnson and the Cincinnati Bengals."

Might I add that Carson Palmer is from L.A. That he played for freakin' U.S.C. How's that for respect? I'm telling you, the world will still be surprised when we run roughshod over the league this year. It's gonna be fun.

Hmmm...I don't think Patrick Ramsey gets any respect even here in DC. They've tried to throw him under the bus twice now, only to find out that guys like "the other Hasselbeck" and a very old Brunell aren't going to cut it. I think the local fans here have learned not to attach themselves to a QB, they haven't had a good one since...hmmm...Theisman?

Or look it it this way - the Redskins have absolutely no offense, and they had to mention somebody. As far as a ratings draw, CJ is a media godsend, so I'm not surprised he gets top bill. I am surprised they didn't mention Palmer though, when I lived in LA last year he was usually the only Bengal I remember doing local interviews, whatever.

But to answer your question, no, Patrick Ramsey is not a national figure.
