Who cares what Golic thinks?

I know I don't...especially after listening to his blatent Browns homerism when he did the Browns first pre-season game.

Ex 1:The Browns starting offensive line false started for the umpteenth time in the first half,Golic's take,"Well it's pre-season for the officials to." LOL...yeah,the officials only called that because of a lack of "snaps".

Ex 2:The Browns first string defense was repeatedly gashed by the Giants first string offense when they ran the ball(minus their starting RB),Golic's take,"Well it takes a while to get used to a 3-4 when you've always played a 4-3. Yep,that explains the ten yard wide holes the Giants running backs were rambling through.

porous defense, mistake prone quarterback,

Yep and those are big question marks in mind still that won't allow me to even predict a winning record yet.

When you're talking about a defense that gave up 27+ points per game 6 times last year, including 48 in one game, it's hard to imagine they'll do a complete 360. Then again just being competent might be good enough as they say.

They started 1-4 last year and still managed to go 8-8. Kitna was awful except for the Eagles game against their 2nd team where the Bengals stomped them bad on the road. And of course Palmer lit up New England on the road and they won 4 of their last 6 games.

Give Palmer an entire season staying healthy, add Warrick, Perry and Henry hopefully most of the year, and they could be great, or just another mediocre team again. I have no idea how to predict NFL seasons anymore, it's futile. Injuries in the cap era just make too much of a difference now and things are just too unpredictable.

Hmm, I thought Kitna did pretty good against the Giants??

The reason I don't thinbk 10-6 is a stretch is b/c a) the Bengals took some steps to improve the D and 2) Carson's mistakes were resposible for some of the losses last year; those mistakes should be down this year so that should translate to more wins.

Listen, I'm not even a Bengals fan but clearly the Bengals are an up and coming team so no way is 10 wins a stretch. They could easily go 6-10 as well but I think that is a very negative view on things. I'd say 25 out of 32 teams have a 6 to 10 win range. I'm banking that Cincy is on that high end this year.
