halp Posted September 1, 2003 Report Posted September 1, 2003 Rackers finally became a quality kicker, and boom, he gets the boot. Marvin, business is business; but i believe this was your intention all along. But no competition throughout training camp? Now you release him! I understand, we, the fans, would boo him his first miss and wonder why he wasn't released. You have played with the players heads enough. This move should have been made weeks ago. Quote
kevnz Posted September 2, 2003 Report Posted September 2, 2003 I totally disagree with that. There was no quality kicker available that could compete with Rackers. But when Graham (a better kicker with a bigger upside) came available Coach Lewis had to go for it. This wasn't about playing mind games with the players it's about putting the best football team possible on the field. Quote
