DontTakeAkili
All this talk about Pollack has me wondering:Six of my buddies and I made the trip from SE Ohio to NYC to watch the draft this past year for a bachelor party. Did any other Bengal faithful make the trip? I saw a few Palmer and CJ jerseys outside the Javits Center that night. I was just wondering if any from this site was there. And if so, were you disappointed at all? I was expecting a little more.
alleycat
Yep. I live in NYC and was in the main room to the right of Chris Berman and crew. They ran a real crap show for the in-house audience. It was a cool experience, but I think you get a much better package just by sitting in your living room - kind of how I feel about games (I went to the Giants game at Cincy last year and except for the dramatic comeback ending, I have to say the vibe in the stadium was a bit too laid back. Hell, I go crazy in my living room, a bar, etc. At the game it should be mayhem, but...).
joshh967
I think the draft would be great to attend for maybe the first two rounds at most...after that i cant even stand watching it consistantly at my house
ArmyBengal
I love the draft, but that is probably due to the fact that all of my buddies are football fans and we all follow different teams. We all get together for the draft, light up the grill, drink a bunch of cold ones and talk s**t to each other. Hell we even have the war room going with the top players at each position. It's a blast, but could see where it would be boring by yourself or nothing but Bengals fans. We were all looking to go to NYC together, but it didn't happen.WHODEY !!! DontTakeAkili
I won't ever go back, but it was a great experience. The draft is much better to watch at home. I was in the section next to the players' families.
