BlackJesus Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 Ok yesterday as I watched Chad Johnson on NFL networks Inside Training Camp it then dawned on me ....Is Chad Johnson a Spokesman for Mcdonalds ?Clues:Yesterday in inside Training Camp he made over 5 references to Mcdonalds, had a camera follow him to Mcdonalds where he ordered his normal breakfast there and jokingly asked for an application. He then worked out, and showed his six pack and made a note of showing how he can eat Mcdonalds and still stay fit.AlsoI have seen two other appearances this offseason where Chad Johnson was on NFL network and Mentioned how much he loves Mcdonalds and eats there all the time. On one episode Rich Eisen asked him what is your secret to being good and he answered eating Mcdonalds. Then on another occasion Eisen asked him how he was feeling in reference to him being sick and Chad commented how the best cure for a cold is to eat Mcdonalds. then after looking it up I found several references to Chad and the Golden Arches....http://www.nfl.com/news/story/8485890Interviewer - Give me the name of a good restaurant or two in Cincinnati? Johnson: I'd say Palomino, a real nice little place in town, and McDonald's. Two cheeseburgers, fries and a coke with no ice.http://www.daytondailynews.com/sports/cont...veqjohnson.htmlChad Johnsons Favorite Meal : McDonaldshttp://sports.ign.com/articles/637/637245p1.htmlIGN Sports: Your teammate Chad Johnson was in the ATL chilling, he has this thing with McDonald's. Can you explain his obsession with the Golden Arches? Carson: I don't know how to explain it; I just know that Chad is addicted to the large Coke with no ice (and according to his superstition, Chad will only drink Coke from a large McDonald's cup).http://culture.redstate.org/story/2005/6/24/949/68802Chad Johnson, on the other hand, is used to eating meat and active. During training camp, he eats McDonalds three times a day, everyday. He says, "It's what feuls the 4.4 speed."http://www.newspagedesigner.com/portfolios...php?UserID=6482Thanksgiving And BengalsThe main story on Thanksgiving Day was on Chad Johnson saying he was going to eat at McDonald's on Thanksgiving.Who knows??? Maybe he just has an obsession with eating at Mcdonalds... but it is odd that he mentions it every single time I have seen him on TV this offseason???? Quote
BlainThePain Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 I think he is trying to get an endorsment deal from McDonald's. Quote
CantStop85 Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 If McDonalds hasn't considered doing an Ad campaign with Chad yet, then they should start very soon. Quote
Kazkal Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 aye i'm suprised they haven't with how much chad praises the golden axis Quote
bengalindian Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 I don't even think he cares for an Ad campaign with McDonald's. He just likes to be humorous, and eating McDonald's and somehow staying amazingly healthy is something he wants to brag about. More power to him. Quote

He just likes to be humorous, and eating McDonald's and somehow staying amazingly healthy is something he wants to brag about. More power to him. I disagree. If I remember correctly CJ claimed that he signed Rosenhaus because he was interested in getting marketing deals. All the McD's talk seems to be part of his fun and light personality, but I also think there is a business side to this in his mind.Of course, McD's is getting free pub from him at this point, so why would they pay him for it? The_Next_Big_Thing Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 The Golden Arches of McDonalds teamed with the Golden Teeth of Chad Johnson? Quote

kingwilly Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 When you are young, a good athlete can subsist on whatever junk they shovel in their mouth. When I raced Pro mountain bikes, I used to win races on 6 glazed doughnuts and a half 2-liter of mtn dew. Quote
BlackJesus Posted August 10, 2005 Author Report Posted August 10, 2005 Chad Leading the Struggle Quote
BlackJesus Posted August 10, 2005 Author Report Posted August 10, 2005 There should be a disclaimer:Chad Johnson is a young well tuned athlete who works out everyday, and probably does more exercise in 1 day at camp than the avg American all year... thus he can eat Mcdonalds every day like he boasts Quote
7/11 Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 i think the chad just wants an endorsement deal too. i've seen, in the past couple years, that chad really wants to be in the spotlight. he wants to be known and talked about. chad bein chad. a kid doin what he can to be popular. god love him. BlackJesus Posted August 11, 2005 Author Report Posted August 11, 2005 A poster on another Bengal board said that he has seen a lot of fans give Chad free Mcdonalds cards at Camp and that he is always pumped to get them.... and that he signs autographs for those people.....an idea if you want to get his autograph. BENGALSFAN85 Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 If he becomes a sponsor for Mcdonalds then I cant wait to see his touchdown dances. Quote
rizzy Posted August 11, 2005 Report Posted August 11, 2005 Yeah when I was down there this past satruday he had probably over hundred dollars worth of the golden arches gift certificates. People were giving them to him left and right. He would take them and stick them in the waist of his pants. I didn't give him any, but still got his autograph that day. Quote
