mtmeece
Thought it might be good to take a break from all of the unsigned player bashing and maybe talk about something like special teams. Although the WR position is flush with talent it strikes me that every yard gained on a punt return brings us one step closer to the promised land Never thought I would think of Detriot as such My favorite is JB for that job he looks to be as fast and slippery as Dante HallKeiwan Ratliff is the frontrunner for the position, but Deltha O'Neal, Jamall Broussard and T.J. Houshmandzadeh are also getting their chance at returning punts. Broussard (5-9, 175) showed off his quickness and proved tough to tackle last preseason. kingwilly
JB is a fun player. Can he hold up? Maybe, he went to Carolina and ran back punts and kicks with moderate success. Ratliff looked good on punt duty last year.Keep in mind, they don't have to take it to the house, just get back 12-20 yrds a return. JB has the moves and quicks, but has to turn upfield faster and not just dance (like Warrick used to).
jrandom42
If Ratliff had 4 more punt returns, he woulld have led the AFC in punt return average. As it is, I'd like to see what Tab Perry can do on both kickoff and punt returns. You don't get to be UCLA's all time kick returner without having some serious hands, speed and moves
CantStop85
If Ratliff had 4 more punt returns, he woulld have led the AFC in punt return average. How would an increased number of punt returns equal a higher punt return average? If JB could make the team I would give him the job...but who's to say he will make the team? He didn't qualify for the leader in punt return average cause he didn't have enough returns, that's what he meant.
