Vik Posted August 3, 2005 Report Posted August 3, 2005 Hello all, some friends and I are road tripping down to Cincy to catch the Vikes-Bengals game in week 2. Could any of you be so kind as to give me some info on where the best place to park / tailgate is? We are driving an RV, so I'm hoping the lots there allow a vehicle that size. Also, would you happen to know if they allow overnight parking? A day/night of football and beer does not make for a fun driving situation.Much thanks and good luck this season. Your team has certainly made many improvements and I am looking forward to watching Palmer, CJ, etc. Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted August 3, 2005 Report Posted August 3, 2005 I'm not sure about overnight parking, but your best bet is to call Longworth Hall. I think the number is 513-721-6000.Come prepared for a good game, but prepare to lose. Our guys play really well at home under Marvin. Quote
WhoDey42 Posted August 3, 2005 Report Posted August 3, 2005 We tailgated at Longworth Hall last season, it was great. But, it gets packed quickly, so get there early. We're planning on returning this season. Quote
Vik Posted August 3, 2005 Author Report Posted August 3, 2005 Cool. Thanks for the info. I think this should be a great matchup and a lot of fun.Oh yeah, you don't by chance have directions/address do you? If not, I'll try that number. Thanks again, hope its a great game. Quote
derekshank Posted August 3, 2005 Report Posted August 3, 2005 John Clayton just wrote an article on the Vikings.http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/trainingcamp...john&id=2123316Looks like we will have our work cut out for us in our home opener.I've been saying that I thought the Vikings are over-rated and still hold to my views for the most part. I think they will have a good defense, but their offense will struggle with a RB by commitee and a weak WR core (not to mention Culpeppers huge drop in #'s when Moss was out last year)... but so many people are so high on them, I'm beginning to believe. You know the old Hitler saying ... "If you tell a lie often enough, people start to believe it." Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted August 3, 2005 Report Posted August 3, 2005 Just follow the directions to the stadium and turn right and you can't miss Longworth. But I would recommend calling them about the fees and if they allow RVs and if you can spend the night! Quote
DontTakeAkili Posted August 3, 2005 Report Posted August 3, 2005 You might also want to check out some info about Newport, KY. It's directly across the Ohio River, and I have always had better luck parking there than in Cincy.Come to think about it, Newport could use that as a tourist slogan:"Newport, Kentucky: One Helluva Parking Lot for an Actual City" Quote
