HairOnFire
I watched it last night and it sucks pretty badly. The core rant attempts to break down the Bengals run defense, but it focuses entirely on the Denver meltdown that came in Marvin's first game. They show clip after clip of the Broncos running reverses against Smith and Clemons, claiming the Bengals ends lack enough athleticism to defend that type of play. Funny thing though, that sort of game long meltdown against reverses has never been repeated....so maybe the problem lies elsewhere. To be fair, Solomon Wilcots attempts to restore order by pointing out how stupid the analysis is but he's the lone defensive voice on the panel. A further sample of the stupidity? Sterling Sharpe closes the show by predicting the 49'ers win their division with a 7-9 record.
schweinhart
It sucked worse than just sucking badly and makes me wonder who the f*ck is putting the program together.Debate the problems of the Bengals run D by rolling clips of the 1st game of ML's 1st yr? Then there was the truly insghtful comments of how bad Justin is because he bit inside one time on a reverse -- all topped off with the hee hawing jackassery of Sterling Sharpe and the assinine comments of the new Meathead on there. The info listing for 11 p.m. tonight is showing that Glen Parker is supposed to be on there. Parker says some dumb stuff occassionally and is all around safe in his comments, but I sure hope so because if what ran last night is the standard to be expected out the program it won't be worth watching. HairOnFire
IMHO it's always been a very uneven show. You'll hear a nice little bit of insider info from time to time, usually from Wilcots, but too often it features analysis from players who clearly have no idea how the game is played on the other side of the ball. For example, I'll listen to anything Sterling Sharpe has to say about wideouts or offensive schemes, but when it comes to breaking down defensive line play he's absolutely clueless. So in the end, instead of deferring to individual expertise everyone on the panel gets an equal say.
