ArmyBengal Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 god we need pdub this year. To that I'll add...To perform as he did in 2003, not like all the other seasons he's had the same opportunity and underperformed.I'm hoping for the best and if he makes us instantly better, I'm all for it. If not, he's got to go. I personally am looking forward to seeing how it all works out !!!WHODEY !!! Quote
AMC Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 Given Marvin's stance on injuries, PW may be in trouble...Marvin doesn't take any crap no matter who you are...If you're not ready to go he will show you the door.PW would only play this year anyway...there is no way they resign him to a new contract, hence the drafting of Henry and Perry...Looks like to me Marvin has his bases covered-he doesn't want so many players on IR like last year...he would rather have youth than a vet on IR... :player: :player: :player: Quote
walzav29 Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 Yeah, but TJ missed basically the whole year. This (besides getting the rooks signed) will be the most interesting thing in camp. They have nothing to lose to keep him around. If he does get cut it will be because he is truly hurt. Quote

Yep, if he's 100% he makes the team as #3....but Marvin has to be convinced he can go 16+ games.... Quote
Bobcat Bengal Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 Its awesome to have a coach that tells you how it is rather than dodging the obvious..... IN MARVIN WE TRUST!!!Actually, my impression of Lewis press conferences has always been that he does a pretty impressive job of dodging the obvious more often than not. That lends extra significance in my mind when he does come out and say something like this. Together with the report on the team site today that Warrick is still not officially cleared to go 100% in camp (which starts in 3 days!?!), these comments have me believing for the first time that PDub may be gone. Yup.I love Coach Lewis, but it irritates me that he likes to make his statements as ambiguous as possible. Quote
Bobcat Bengal Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 There's no way they can let Warrick go...I just put a poster of him and Rudi and Chad up in my office Yeah, and I haven't bought a new jersey in years.Back when Warrick was the only player available for a Bengals jersey. Quote
MacD BengalFan Posted July 28, 2005 Report Posted July 28, 2005 When I saw the Bengals draft Chris Henry in the third round, I sort of thought that P'DUB would have been cut out on June 1. But I guess they are trying to give his knee time to heal and give him a shot. But I would bet that if the knee is not 100%, P'DUB will be waived. Quote
