WhoDey42
Theres a small article in SI this week about the games coming out to try to compete with Madden. And since Madden has the exclusive NFL license, they can't use anything from the NFL.Midway is coming out with "Blitz: The League". The cover athlete is Lawrence Taylor. The graphics actually don't look too bad. One of the screenshots shows a player just pulling the oppenent's helmet off Description: Playing in The League is your dream but you’ve paid the price. Your arms ache from weight-room reps and painkillers are blurring your vision. The dirty hits you’ve laid on QBs are career-enders but they also keep you employed. Two more sacks and you get your bonus, paying for your fast cars and faster lifestyle. Its 4th and 3 and you are up by 7. Stuff the offense, beat your opponents bloody and win at any cost.Cincinnati's team is the Crusaders. They're colors are blue and white.http://blitzleague.com/----That one might sound a little off the wall, but Sony is coming out with "Road to Sunday". The blurb in SI says "Game play extends off the field--players must save their owner, who's in debt to a mysterious Jamaican mobster." WTF?! I'm definatly getting Madden, of course. I might rent these two just to see what they're like (and to get a good laugh), but I don't see me spending $50 (if they are going to be that much) on these games over Madden. WhoDey42
Heres the Cincinnati Crusaders logo from Blitz: The leagueCrusader Stadium:Heres the description of the franchise:The perpetual bottom dwellers of Division III, the Crusaders are also called "The Alter Boys" because they are always whining about their lack of fan support and "respect" from the League. They always have a couple of good young players on their roster, but they move on as soon as their contracts allow.Blitz LeagueI like how the Las Vegas Aces stadium is called "Aces Stadium and Casino"
