BengalPappaw Posted July 13, 2005 Report Posted July 13, 2005 I liked the article -- but I always question the credibility when the writer doesn't seem to know specifics e.g. "Pollack playing middle LB". The writer should know that Pollack is going to play OLB in the mold of Peter Boulware -- not MLB.It is nice to see some good press for our Bengals. Quote
Kazkal Posted July 13, 2005 Report Posted July 13, 2005 he probbley only looked at our nfl depthchart.when it listed pollack as mlb Quote
HairOnFire Posted July 13, 2005 Report Posted July 13, 2005 Hey, you're not related to obrien774 are you? Because I'm pretty sure that guy owes me money. Pretty nice article, and overall very positive, but I found myself more interested in the questions asked about other teams than the too familiar ones being kicked around about the Bengals. All things considered I'd say this offseason has been pretty positive, but it needs to end before I read another comparison between Ray Lewis and Odell Thurman. Quote
Kazkal Posted July 13, 2005 Report Posted July 13, 2005 I thought it was ray lewis/david pollack this time Quote
redsfan2 Posted July 14, 2005 Report Posted July 14, 2005 Pretty nice article, and overall very positive, but I found myself more interested in the questions asked about other teams than the too familiar ones being kicked around about the Bengals. Same here. It was really interesting to note the breakdown of Ruthlessburgers or whatever the hell ( sorry rev.) his name is. You Know .... the guy who plays quarterback for Pittsburgh.Lot of speculation on them living up to last years performance. His first 11 games " 67.7% completion rate .. 14 td's ... 6 int's ... and a 103.2 qb rating. His last 5 tho by comparison 60% completion ... 6 td's and 10 int's ... 71.8 qb rating. DC's around the league get some film on you and all of a sudden it's a lot tougher. His stats would seem to bear that out. Palmer on the other hand ( film and all ) just seemed to kept getting better and better. Let's hope both trends continue. Quote
bengalboomer7 Posted July 14, 2005 Report Posted July 14, 2005 Palmer is the guy that gets me so excited about the Bengals. Just taking a look at the great teams that won multiple Super Bowls and they all have the same thing and that's a franchise QB. It's so nice to have that field general locked up. Quote
