AMC
It was just announced on Nextel qualifying that Joe Nemechek got a contract extension in the 01 Army car. Wonder how things will work with that race team with the 10 team looking to go with Evernham?
Kirkendall
Wonder how things will work with that race team with the 10 team looking to go with Evernham? Good question. Who knows. Especially in this world of multi-car team domination.PS, not sure if that's what you meant but the #10 Valovline is officially moving to Evernham. http://www.evernhammotorsports.com/main.cf...articleId=10370
Kirkendall
About Riggs (via Jayski)http://www.journalnow.com/servlet/Satellit...s=1037645509200Joe Nemechek has signed a multiyear contract renewal, but it appears more likely than not that teammate Scott Riggs will be leaving the Nelson Bowers-Bob Sutton-James Rocco team at the end of the season, probably to drive for Ray Evernham.Jay Frye, the team manager for the Rocco-Bowers operation, is glad to get Nemechek under a new contract but he isn't happy with the state of negotiations with Riggs, who has apparently told Frye to consider looking for another driver."We have every intention of re-signing Scott, and we presented an offer to him before Richmond (in May)," Frye said. "But he's been quoted saying he's talking with other teams."I think this is where he wants to be, but we'll see. Since all this got out, we've had calls from other drivers, some that would surprise a lot of people."We have every intention of Scott staying, and we want him to stay. We've got to decide within the next two or three weeks, because we're looking a sponsor prospects. So we've got to get it secured sooner rather than later."
