The_Next_Big_Thing
As good as chad is there is alot of room for improvement..He had 95 catches but was thrown to 170 times which ranked first in thrown to.He dropped 14 balls ranking first. He has a very low yac..He didnt block all that well.TJ on the other hand was 6th in percentage of passes caught/thrown to 73.96th in catches for a first down on third and long 19both can improve on their overall play.... His blocking has NOTHING AT ALL to do with his fantasy value. The fact that he ranked 1st in number of passes thrown to him is a GOOD THING. It means he is a threat each week. Ok, so he dropped a bunch of balls and his YAC wasn't great. He spent the offseason looking for ways to improve. TJ is a sleeper because of the number of passes Carson Palmer is going to throw. walshfan
Well I wasnt talking in terms of fantasy.. the fact that he was thrown to 170 times indicates that if he is a threat he better start concentrating more and catching alot more of the passes thrown his way as TJ did..... Kazkal
He had 95 catches but was thrown to 170 times which ranked both can improve on their overall play....Well You also have to take in account carson blew the first 7 games and only really threw it too chad, now that Carsons better & they have good receivers besides chad,it should help chad out not being the only threat. Buck
Well, in the leagues I've drafted so far: Chad Johnson, Round 2, #28, 3rd receiver taken Hines Ward, Round 3, #46, 8th receiver taken Hines Ward, Round 3, #26, 5th receiver taken Chad Johnson, Round 3, #28, 6th receiver taken (by me, heh) The second draft was with more fantasy rookies, so I guess Ward was selected more on the base of name recognition. Fantasy-wise, most people should have Johnson ranked ahead of Ward.
