ArmyBengal Posted June 14, 2005 Report Posted June 14, 2005 I don't particulary feel good about our depth on D...we certainly have some quality non starters...Keiwan, L. Johnson, Clemmons, Powell, L. Moore, and WebsterThe areas which are most suspect in my view...SS and DT are areas that whcih ML seems to have confidence about, stating that the Line wasn't mostly to blame for our running D woes, and he stated that our secondary was the deepest of any positions (which includes SS, right?)So I guess I'll piggie back on his confidence. First off Big O, missing the pictures, always made me smile.I would love to piggie back his confidence as well, but there is one glaring comment that keeps coming back to haunt me... ML made the statment before last years draft that the D-line was a priority for the offseason and the draft, then didn't bother addressing the one thing he named as a priority. Now one may assume (God forbid) that this is ML making comments to make other teams believe they are going to draft something they aren't, but looking at our D-line prior to the start of last season, how many people here can say they were excited about what was happening ?? Outside of the addition of Robinson, is the interior of our D-line stellar or just solid ?? I'm not happy with the DT position at all and have to think this remains a priority going into MLs 3rd season. Maybe Robinson, and the Georgia dynamic duo will change all of that, but alot remains to be seen. Ever cautious, but optimistic and hoping for good things to happen...WHODEY !!! Quote
