bengalboy40
in the video i saw of tab, it looked like he was a fast, pysical reciever. it didn't show him make any "tough" catches, so i couldn't tell if he had good hands, but his runnin after the catch reminded me of T.O. or david givens. it kinda seems like marvin drafted him for special teams, but he looked pretty darn good at reciever too....has anyone else seen much film on him? i can't find any on the internet, but my buddy has a tape of him he bought off e-bay. any thoughts about him being a good reciever? CTBengalsFan
He's got great size and speed, so it's just a matter of whether he can put it together in the NFL. I think he'll start on special teams this year but I would be happy to see him get some catches because as a 3rd or 4th receiver he'd probably be able to create some match up problems. Spain
He got some hype by Marvin on the radio about being more polished than they thought, Im hoping he will return kicks but he has some competition thre.
The_Next_Big_Thing
You know, if he can become a great wideout, we are blessed to find a gem in the late rounds. On the other hand, if he can return kicks well, we are blessed to have a real kick returner for the first time in ages.
StripesNTn
He was dratfed as for ST and to push Chris Henry. Though not as skillful as Henry seems more polished, and obviously less troubled. Man i am so excited aboutour WR corp.
BengalPappaw
No question -- from his college games, Tab Perry is an excellent runner after the catch. In the six college games I have of him on tape, he never dropped a pass, consistently got 6-10 yards after the catch. One real beauty -- he broke through two tacklers, stiff armed another tackler and gain about 15 yards after the catch. His kickoff returns were pretty bland -- up the middle for around 20 yds each. Our Special Teams Coach should be able to take better advantage of his capabilities -- (isn't it nice to be able to say this!!). He is also a good blocker on running plays. His speed looks good, hands appear to be pretty good -- so why did he slip to the sixth round? I, too, am excited about the WRs we will have this year -- Good depth and talent -- and exciting capabilities to move the ball down the field in a hurry. :player:
jditty47
we'll see. at this point i dont even know if he'll make the roster....hes got a long road ahead of him to pass the 5-6 receivers in front of him. i see him either being the 6th guy on the roster that might return kicks and do ST's but thats about it.
