walshfan Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 Darrell Russell, the former DT with the Oakland Raiders, has been reinstated by the NFL if any team desires his services... Russell was suspended for repeated substance abuse problems.. I believe the problem was alcohol related...He was a probowler in 98 and 99 but hadn't made much of an impact after that.He supposedly has cleaned up his act, wants a fresh start and to also clear his name and reputation and has been working with a trainer to be ready in case he's needed. He says he'll start from the ground up just wants a final chance. He's 6'4" 345lbs and runs a 4.9 forty.. He'll be 29 this month...Will anyone take a chance on this onetime good yet self destructing individual? Quote

BengalsOwn Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 We took a chance on Bryan Robinson.Might as well take a chance on Russell as well. They can be rehab buddies or something. Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted May 8, 2005 Report Posted May 8, 2005 Hell no. He was kicked out of the league for good reason. Quote
