How do we fare against our Division ??

I was looking at what the other teams drafted and got so far in FA...

CLEVELAND

Drafted: Edwards, Pool, Antonio Perkins, and Charlie Frye

FA: Gary Baxter

I have to think this was a good draft for them especially if Sean Jones comes back healthy this season. Is Frye their QB of the future ??

BALTIMORE

Drafted: Clayton, Dan Cody, and Charlie Frye

FA: Derrick Mason, Samari Rolle

Good draft for Baltimore as well. They got some additional help on their O-line and beefed up both sides of the ball.

Pittsburgh

Drafted: Heath Miller, Bryant McFadden, Fred Gibson, Rian Wallace

FA: Marco Battaglia, Cedrick Wilson

Solid considering where they picked. If you watched the yahoo films on our guys, you can see our new WR Henry beat McFadden on a passing play. Hope to see more of that. :D

Overall, I'm thinking our Division is only getting tougher and is headed to being the best Division in the Conference IMO. It will be tough to take the Division "THIS" year, but still think playoffs are in our reach. There were obviously more players taken by each team, but I only listed ones I thought we would recognize and would be quicker to make an impact. I think we split with P-Burg and B-More then take two from Cleveland going 4-2 in the Division. Bear in mind, I'm not preaching that this is 100% accurate, just noting my thoughts and starting new conversation. Anyone offended or pissed off needs to get a grip !!!

It's still Kyle Boller.... and I just don't care WHO he is throwing the ball too, he won't hit them. He sucks. Hell, even Tara Reid, his former girlfriend says he sucks.

Cleveland's defense got much worse too. Not that it was any good in the first place, but most of their Dline is now in Denver, and they really didn't draft anyone to help out either. We SHOULD own them for at least another two years.

Pittsburgh didn't do much to help themselves in the draft. They got a good tight end, and their wideout will be adequate to replate burress, but they stayed about the same.

Right now, I'd be more worried about the NFC North.

Williams boys on the outside for Detroit,

the Vikings?.....ugh.......They're ready to play, beleeee dat.

Packers I'm not so worried about.

The Bears have a power runner in Cedric Benson, which is right up our alley I suppose.

So is there a doppleganger Charlie Frye in Baltimore too?

Or are they gonna alternate games to play him in?

Oops, happy fingers... Maybe his evil twin brother ??

Agree about the NFC North, especially the Vikings, but that was going to be another thread. Oh well !!!

It's going to be an interesting year.

My biggest question mark with Baltimore is whether or not the added weapons will finally bring Boller along and pull him out of the trash bin. If so, then I'm more worried about them than I am Pitt.

I think Big Ben will level out this year. The Steelers will once again be a solid team, but I think the Bengals will have enough firepower to pull out at least 1 win against them.

I'm still calling for the playoffs...
