Just a thought............ if Marvin's top 5-6 are gone at #17 and Clayton is still on the board.....and he is the Bengals top ranked player at that point.......do we take him???? ...and..of course....no takers to trade down.

Clayton is predicted to go to the Ravens at # 22 by some mocks. Clayton and Mason against our secondary, with a mediocre pass rush.....thats not good, even with Boller.

I think in that situation, and as much as I want a defensive playmaker, Clayton becomes a Bengal. Any thoughts???????????

I like Clayton.

Personally, I think we're in pretty good position to get a impact player in the first round, whether its James, Spears, Pollack, Rogers, Clayton, Davis, or even....Johnson.

i hope so... Warrick is Mark clayton,but in the nfl and knows the O, no point ni him being a bengal.

Anyways i just don;t see Erasumus James, Thomas Davis, or Travis johnson not bein there.

I also see u taking one of the top 2 off tackles, before clayton.

I posted my WR breakdown earlier tonight which includes a look at all of the WR prospects. I like Williamson if he slips to 17, but that seems too early for Clayton. Plus I think there's a list of about 5 defensive players who the Bengals like. I can't imagine all of them being gone at #17.

If Clayton is the Bengals top ranked player when we're on the clock and no trades look good ......... select him. Thats what best player available means.
