denverbengal Posted March 2, 2005 Report Share Posted March 2, 2005 http://news4colorado.com/broncos/local_story_060195117.htmlMar 1, 2005 5:50 pm US/MountainDENVER (CBS4) The Broncos have confirmed they will not attempt to re-sign free-agent Reggie Hayward, the team's sack leader last season.Hayward led the team with 10 1/2 sacks, but the Broncos said they think his price tag is too high, CBS4 Sports reports.With Hayward gone, the team needs another defensive lineman, so they decided to trade a 4th Round draft pick to Cleveland for defensive tackle Gerard Warren.Warren was the 3rd pick in the draft 4 years ago but never quite lived up to the hype.Warren's deal wasn't set to be finalized until Tuesday, but the Broncos said they can use all the defensive lineman they can get at this point. The same story also says that the Broncos still haven't secured OL Ben Hamilton or SS Kenoy Kennedy.. any of these guys would be welcome additions to the Bengals' roster IMHO.
