kurgan74
If I am not mistaken Adrian McPherson was the Florida State QB a couple of years ago who cashed a stolen check and was investigated for throwing a couple of games to help ppay off a gambling debts. I am not sure but I think that is him. If it is, the Bengals do not want him.
bengalboomer7
It's Adrian Mcpherson though, remember him, he got kicked off of the Florida St team as a sophomore I think, and was pretty good too. Just one of the many guys they used to try to get Rix outta there

chrishcovga
From that list , there are 4 guys that intrigue me the most. Meaning I can't wait to see what they'll look like competing against other athletes at the Combine next week.# 1. Larry Brackins Pearl River CC - I don't buy the Tight end crap. If you can play football, you can play football. 6'5 220 and runs in the 4'5s. Could be a poor mans version of Mike Williams.# 2. Ryan Fitzpatrick QB Harvard, - I was really surprised by his arm strength and decision making in the Hula Bowl. Bramlett is off to Europe, so let's see if he's worth taking late to push Bramlett or Kitna.# 3. Liam Ezekial LB Northeastern, - Guy I work with is an Alum from Northeastern and says Ezekial is like Zach Thomas. Wish I had some game film on the kid.# 4. Adam Bergen TE Lehigh, - He was mentioned earlier in the year on FoxSports.
schweinhart
I'd rank the Top 10 of those sleepers like this:1. Vincent Jackson 3rd Rd. Lions #722. Ronald Bartell 4th Rd. Raiders #993. Nick Collins 4th Rd. Bills # 1164. Boomer Grigsby 4th Rd. Falcons # 1225. Liam Ezekiel 4th Rd. Steelers # 1256. Adam Bergen 4th Rd. Eagles # 1267. Brandon Jacobs 5th Rd. Browns # 1308. Larry Brackins 5th Rd. Chargers # 1359. Michael Roos 5th Rd. Rams # 14610. Nehemiah Broughton 5th Rd Patriots # 159IMO Jerome Mathis is too raw and slight of build to be more than 6th rounder even though he's fast and a returner. I see you think V.Jackson will be a Lion come third round, With Rogers and Williams already T.O. clones, what are you seeing or hearing on that.* Share the tid-bits man !! schweinhart
Why Schwammie, it's good old-fashioned horse sense that leads me to a three-fold reason to believe Jackson will be a Lion.1. Rogers and Williams are great.....when they're healthy enough to play. Jackson would be at the ready if either goes down again.2. 2 UFA WRs will be gone...Streets and Swinton...and Harrington needs all the help he can get from the position.3. Jackson has a TE frame and would be phsyically developed for it while still being the possession WR option in the absence of Rogers or Williams or as a 3rd or 4th WR. Besides Mooch will be chomping at the bit after being forced to burn his 1st 2 picks on D The whole Jackson-Lion point would be moot, though, if your mock is right and he lands with the Raiders 3 picks before the Lions in the 3rd. And if Everett goes to Lions with their 3rd rd pick like you got.But Everett has proven very little behind Winslow Jr. and then on his own for a year. I don't see Everett as a Day 1 pick. #85MVP
about Adrian McPherson, when he was on the Indiana Firebirds (AFL) i saw him play and he is AMAZING. hes a great athlete. he runs at listed a 4.51. i dont think the bengals will take him but i think this guy has a chance to succeed in the NFL. there is no way to tell where he will go. some people actually think he is the best QB and some people think hes one of the worst. if i had to guess some team will fall in love with his ability and gamble a 3rd or 4th round pick on him. bengalboomer7
I don't see him going very high because the NFL is one of the few professional sports where character is still accounted for. Same goes for Maurice and why so many people passed on Randy Moss in the first round that year, including the bengals

I think the going wisdom will be that after the Combine1. Vincent Jackson will rise2. Larry Brackins will rise3. Terrance Murphy will rise as well. If the Aggies had actually passed more instead of their 2 to 1 ratio of run to pass, then He may be considered a first round talent.* Also curious to see how well Victor Sesay TE, Missouri will run. He's another one of those Te's that have a basketball background, but he's also had some pretty productive games. If he's still around in rounds 5, or 6 he's definitely more athletic than Stewart and Kelly !
FonzieDog
Let me add a name to the sleeper list. Center, Richie Incognito. He was #1 on a lot of Rimington watch lists at the beginning of the year. Got kicked off the team mainly because of his bad attitude/character and didn't play last year. He is a beast on the line and plays with a chip on his shoulder. Switched from LT to C before the season so he hasn't actually played any games at C. Could probably play C or LT in pros. He could be a dominating lineman IF he can change his attitude. If he doesn't he'll be the Lawrence Phillips equivalent to centers.

Weaknesses: Has some major character concerns...Kicked off two teams in a very short period of time...Has a history of losing his temper both on and off the field...A major risk for any team that drafts him. WHO DEY AGAIN?
What do you guys think of Vincent"sweet pea" Burns from UK? He was hurt most of his senior year but tore it up his junior year. I think he's going to go higher than most people think and he will be an impact. cover2
Vincent Burns Official Bio College: Kentucky Height: 6-2 Position: Defensive End Weight: 268 Class: Senior 40-Yard: 4.85 SCOUTING REPORT Strengths: Has a great motor and excellent intensity...Very quick with decent speed...Good pass rusher who can wreak havoc in opponents backfields...Always around the ball and very active. Weaknesses: Doesn't have the height you look for...Isn't a great natural athlete...Probably doesn't have the skill set to move to linebacker...May be limited to a situational role in the pros. Notes: Nickname is "Sweat Pea"...Transferred from Northern Arizona...Won't make it as an every down end but could find a role as a situational pass rusher. - Scott Wright <<< BACK -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This site is in no way affiliated with the National Football League (NFL) or the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). schweinhart
Burns will have to overcome the height issue to get drafted. He'll be considered with other late pick DEs in the 270 to 280 range like Jim Davis (6-3), George Gause (6-5), Simon Fraser (6-5), Adrian Awasom (6-5), Jay Ratliff (6-4), and Mike Montgomery (6-5).Of the bunch, I thought Jim Davis served himself well in Senior Bowl by showing how fast he is off the snap at DT. Not the fastest in the 40 but the quickest DT I saw to penetrate in that game. His versatility at DE and DT will let him fit in w/ various schemes on D. IMO Davis won't last past 5th rd to Falcons. Also of this group, Adrian Awasom is the most atheltic 4-3 DE of them. He played for North Texas State so he is somewhat raw vs. better comp. Seeing him play I notice he keeps his feet real well and has a great burst to the runner or QB. Seahwaks 6th.

I've seen Fraser play well against Big 10 tackles, and Davis abused the Miami Hurricanes, but George Gause had a pretty good Senior Bowl week.Key thing for him will be his hand placement in the Pros' . 6'5 he'll need to keep blockers off of his legs.To Be honest with you, I'm hoping we've solved our long term problem at the other DE spot long before these guys get consideration. Good call Guru.No Housh, no prob...And with pick #48, the Bengals take WR Vincent Jackson :player: Vincent looked good at Senior Bowl and showed how soft his hands are and how quick he reacts at combine, plus has a 39" vert to go w/ his 6-5 height. Just a matter of getting the ball to this dude. He'll be an exceptional possession receiver.IMO he's the 9th top WR and should go 2 picks after Murphy whose 4.45 showed his deep threat speed. Also, Brackins just might have boosted himself into 1st day.

I think he's going to go higher than most people think and he will be an impact. I was highly impressed how Burns did in the pass coverage drills at the combine w/ the DE/LB tweener group. Burns by far showed the best natural ability among the group to turn, burst, and control himself in open space and should improve his value as a 3-4 LB or a 4-3 DE.
