ajkrumme Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Since we tagged Rudi what about trading him to the Dolphins for Patrick Surtain who has been given the permission to seek a trade? Not likley that the Dolphins would give up a draft pick but it sounds great for us... Quote
skyline Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 #1...the franchise tag hasn't been applied yet.#2...no...the Dolphins are going to sign Sean Alexander. Yes, I know that's not decided either, but hey...this is all just speculation anyway, right? Quote
Kirkendall Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Yea, we'd either have to tag or sign Rudi before we can trade him. Quote
jditty47 Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 either A. tag and trade or B. dont do anything to him and let him walkthose are my 2 options. if we tag and keep ill be very pissed at the amount that bum will be receiving. Quote
turningpoint Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 tkae the trade and sign shaun....and we can move Tory to Safety....quite the perfect D imo. Quote
bengalboomer7 Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Sorry guys, this isn't Madden Quote
FonzieDog Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Sorry guys, this isn't Madden I can sign Rudi for four years at $20 million on Madden. Are you telling me we can't do that in real life? I suppose next you'll tell me we can't get 4 first round draft selections through some other minor deals either! Quote
UKstripes Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Ah, Madden trades... always have that slight air of "I don't think so" about them!Browsing various sites regarding free agents, one topic has caught my eye several times: the Seahawks are gonna loose some big names. If Shaun Alexander wants to go to Miami, that's his prerogative. I am happy with either him or Rudi but the reality seems to be that either will cost $6m. If Shaun leaves Seattle, we should trade Rudi for Walter Jones, the Seahawks' ProBowl left tackle. How do those of you who doubt Perry think an upgraded O-line might improve Perry's chances? Quote

We have two very fine tackles thank you.. Now a trade that would interest me is Rudi and TJ for Randy Moss.. Minnesota gets a RB and replacement for Moss and the Bengals have the best wide receving tandem in the NFL.. Carson to Moss and CJ would be very exciting... Quote
shworge Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Just heard Marvin say this on the radio "We made our decision on Rudi weeks ago and that decision will be communicated to you (the media) later in the wee."Not a good sign for people hoping Rudi gets a long term deal, it either means they are tagging him or they are letting him explore free agency.
