walshfan
Quincy Wilson is not going to make anyone forget about anything.. He is like Rudi in that he a north south runner.. He not as strong and he runs a 4.67 forty which is very slow...If Rudi is not here he will get the chance to be a short yardage runner with Perry or whoever being the feature back. Best case scenario is Rudi and Chris as our backs next tear.. If Marvin can make that happen he will. If Rudi wants more money than Marvin thinks he's worth adios and dont let the door hit you in the arse on the way out.
TubThumper
I mean I've got to admit that sometimes pushy makes me laugh. Why are you even on this board, but to p*ss people off? It's really funny if you think about it. I think that maybe dontpushme and tubthumper may be the reincarnation of Barbarian, with a little more tact. I'm not the reincarnation of anyone. I am an original.
glnwf
I'm not a Rudi Johnson fan or anybody's fan that doesn't wish to play for our Bengals. See ya we'll get somebody in that wants to play. We have a problem keeping Runningbacks happy. Why? :player:That's why i'm glad I found this site; sharing with fellow Bengals Fans. I had no knowledge of this other back that has been mentioned a couple times here Quincy Wilson is a stronger, faster version of Rudi, but unproven. Well there is our answers rite :player: Patience allow the two time to prove or disprove themselves, & faith in Coach Lewis :player:
BengalPappaw
That would be one of the worst signings possible. Why would we spend all that money on RB when we have no need at the position? Our defense needs players, we ALREADY HAVE CHRIS PERRY. I dont think you guys realize this. Perry will be the starter next year, and he will make us forget all about rudi johnson. I agree! Chris Perry will be 2005 TJ -- remember TJ was injured and could not get on the field two years ago. I at least I hope he will be!
kentjett
Quincy Wilson is a stronger, faster version of Rudi, but unproven,he made a couple of SportsCenter top ten plays of the week during his senior year(He can definitely hit)Rudi is good but don't have the ability to make anybody miss(probably the worst RB in the league at that)but he breaks alot of tackles(which he is really good at)another thing he is bad at is catching the ball out of the back field.I believe w/ all that in mind, he is very much an average RB in a good situation(good line and a good QB)Our Offense is really predictable w/ Rudi in the backfield. We are a pass oriented offense and we need to concentrate on that area first(We can very possibly be one of the top five passing teams in the league)If Chris Perry can prove his injury to be a freak accident and stay healthy he can be a really good back in our system. He is a bigger, stronger, faster, version of Westbrook and he has the hands as well.We can put him in 4WR or 5WR set and he could burn any LB or S who covers him.We could be a high flying exciting offense. slf
... We have a problem keeping Runningbacks happy. Why? :player:Probably because we spend good money on providing them a strong offensive front, top $ QB and receivers, and that doesn't leave a lot of $ for them Trouble is, you don't have to pay top 5 money to find a RB who can succeed in those conditons. Seriously, do you think CD would have gained all those yards in Oakland this year? Even hall of famer OJ was a joke until they put a good line in front of him.Rudi's biggest strength is he IS PROVEN, durable, was always on the field when called on, never missed a snap due to injury did he? How many other RBs can say that last year? Rudi played as well if not better at the end of the game, he didn't wear down. On the other hand he is below league median on 3rd down conversions less than 3 yd. That is an important stat to ML and is what limits Rudi's value. Of course we would like him back at a fair price. I have high hopes for Chris Perry too, but the memory of Ki-Jana Carter is still too fresh for me to depend on Perry just yet. Problem is, with the O line and passing game the Bengals have in place, Bengals coaches feel confident they can find RBs who will succeed in their system without messing up the cap. bengalboomer7
I love how people are just willing to throw away our single season leading rusher like he was last week's leftovers. Unless the money gets too high, Rudi should be a bengal!!

Rudi could most possibly be a 1500+ yard rusher next season, and more yardage the year after. I don't know why we have so many Rudi haters. WHO DEY AGAIN?
All the Rudi haters have a screw loose. PERRY HAS NOT DONE s**t! EVEN BEFORE HE WAS HURT. Rudi has more talent than Perry but less than Alexander. If you want a top back then get Alexander or resign Rudi. Perry is the next" Archie Griffin" or better yet the next Vagina Carter. Big 10 backs suck! WTFU! :player:
bengalsfan33
I think if Rudi doesn't come back- looks like he wont, then we'll see a combo of Wilson/Perry next year with Wilson getting most of the carries. From what I've heard, the Bengals organization is very high on this young back out of WVU...
#85MVP
how about we get rid of rudi and start perry AND sign a free agent running back like najeh davenport, dominic rhodes, lamont jordon, or moe williams and go split-back style until perry is ready to take about every down. just an idea
