comstock
big game this weekend, looking forward to it but unfortunately it's a must win.I know this has been said many times but the bengals could/should easily be 9-3, shouldn't have lost to Pitt when our offense scored 9 points for THEM. Shouldn't have lost that game vs Titans nor the game vs the Jets (or the first browns game for that matter). Hell that's FOUR close games right there that we handed away on turnovers and stupidity, can you say 10-2, one game behind the best record in the NFL, DAMMMNNNN.guess it is what it is and now we have to finish hugeWe're this || close to being 10-2, and everyone still thinks we're average at best. we are better than our current record. skyline
We're better than our current record NOW, but we weren't in the beginning of the season. When we started out this year, we were worse than our current record.Basically, you're seeing a team mature. I agree about the Steeler game and the Titan game. Both should have been wins and 8-4 would have us in the final wildcard spot. As for the Jets game, you just can't give up 196 yards to Curtis Martin and expect to win. And how could you say we should've won the Cleveland game? If they didn't give us the one K2 touchdown it would have been a 34-10 ass whoopin'. I do agree that Cleveland is garbage, but they dominated us up there. IMO the Raven game in Cincy was more winnable we had 8 straight possesions go into Raven territory and we scored a whopping total of 9 pts. Now we have to win out with the possibility of that happening increasing greatly if we can somehow beat the Patsies. :player: WHODEY!! :player:
comstock
we were driving down the field only down a score vs the jets and things were looking good, we were MOVING....then the INTyeah we gave up over 200 yards to their RB but the fact remains, until the last seconds we were in it and could have easily sent it to OT if not for that INT to end the drive. a drive that could have easily turned into the miami/balt drive. jjakq27
Pretty good assessment.I am not expecting them to make the playoffs this year. There are too many teams in contention and they have a couple of tough road games. I also wonder how they will bounce back from such an emotional high last week.Personally I am content with whatever happens the rest of the season. Whether it is 7-9 all the way to making the playoffs. Last week I feel like a few things happened that will affect this team for a long time to come. The first was the lift they gained by beating the Ravens at home. Now they have a reference point and know that they can do it again. They were able to withstand some major adversity and win. Secondly, Carson Palmer was finally able to let his natural ability take over. It seemed like he played pissed after the returned INT. I've wondered this year if they were babying Palmer too much or his they were micro-coaching him too much. I think they took off the training wheels and he proved to many why he was selected No. 1.The other thing is how well the rookies have come along this year. Lewis is showing that they guys that have been taken in the last two drafts are good NFL players. He has developed a good foundation for the next few years.Personally I feel vindicated for having to defend the Bengals, the pick of Palmer and even the fact that I have season tickets. I remember after Palmer got picked off by the Jets in preseason last year, one of my buddies was rubbing it in and saying "same old Bengals. Palmer sucks and so does Lewis. Nothing has changed." Well I hope that people see that these two are the real deal. My only hope is that they resign Rudi and TJ and keep this group together. And that Chris Perry gets on the field once before the end of the year!
