jjakq27
Did anyone catch this from Marvin's press conference yesterday?Q: Chad Johnson claimed he was a little foggy yesterday, due to a big hit he took in the game...ML: You said it right when you said ‘claimed,’ so let’s leave it at that. Another one of our Chad’s claims. Hue Jackson (wide receivers coach) did say at a point that for a while after the touchdown catch, Chad wasn’t feeling quite right, so they took him out for a few plays. But he cleared up went back into the game and was fine.
skyline
No...I'm sure he was a little dazed for about 5 minutes. The rest is his way of playing with the media.
The_Next_Big_Thing
I just don't buy the idea of Chad faking something that serious. But on the other hand, would the trainers let a franchise player go out with his bell rung that much?
The Brew Man
He loves attention, this is just another way to get some, Marving squashed it though.
shapu
Just so we're clear, most of those symptoms are pretty consistent with a mild concussion.Of course, just because the team has an MRI doesn't mean they have to use it.... CTBengalsFan
i've had both a full on concussion from falling head first onto pavement and concussion like symptoms from falling head first onto ice snowboarding. and both experiences were very similar though the second one wasn't technically a concussion i still felt nauseus and i didn't remember how i fell. so i believe chad if he says he didn't remember it. skyline
so i believe chad if he says he didn't remember it. I'm more inclined to believe the trainers when they say they wouldn't have let him back onto the field if they thought he was suffering from a concussion... shapu
Trainers miss mild concussions. Look at Kurt Warner's first game last season - he got smacked into the endzone turf in the first quarter, and displayed all of the symptoms of a concussion: amnesia, confusion, slow thinking, poor motor skills...and yet the trainers let him stay in the game, and Martz kept him in there. Admittedly, that's partly Martz, but a lot of mild concussions will be misdiagnosed as "having had his bell rung" for a long time to come.Of course, It's more than likely that Marvin was trying to keep other teams from thinking that Chad's gonna be a bit wonked out in the near future.
