Kirkendall
Artilce with Maurice Mann, now a Dolphin, and the lack of communication from the Bengals to him..http://www.montereyherald.com/mld/monterey...ts/10232633.htm
schweinhart
Mann looked like a half-a$$er in pre-season to me. Good riddance.

Kirkendall
I think the more interesting part is his explaination to why he didn't stay -- not his future. Not good enough to remain on the Bengals so it was by choice from the organization? Or is he bitter for not being on the active roster? schweinhart
Maybe there's truth to what Mann claims but there's another side to Mann as indicated in the Enquirer in an April 26 article:"Mann had 35 receptions for 597 yards and two touchdowns in 2003. He played in eight games with seven starts but was suspended for the first four games. He was suspended for an unauthorized use of the school's Federal Express account number (he had dormitory room furniture shipped to school using the account). He made restitution."Not to dis his character but there's a moral terpitude issue there.Besides, I would be surprised if Brat didn't have a lot of input in picking Mann, too. Still, Mann was ultimately an ML pick and ML may have made the active roster offer. Since the O-line is healthier, why not bring up Mann and have him compete w/ Russell? As for Mann being told this or that, the easiest way for him to get to the 53-man was to demonstrate w/o doubt that he belonged there in the 1st place. jjakq27
If he was so good why did they bring in Cliff Russell?

schweinhart
If he was so good why did they bring in Cliff Russell? If he was so good, why did the Panthers pluck Broussard off the PS instead of Mann
Sox
I refuse to get worked up over any player taken off of our practice squad. If anything, teams signing players from our practice squad is a positive sign.It shows our talent level is much deeper than years past. The_Next_Big_Thing
When was the last time teams took a player from our practice squad, yet alone to take THREE IN ONE YEAR?!This says something to me about the guys Marvin is drafting. What? We have players on our practice squad people want AFTER teams suffer injury? Wow!
The_Next_Big_Thing
As opposed to we have players on our regular roster others wouldn't even want on their practice squad? Or that in the past they wouldn't touch? Yes, it says Marvin is improving the quality of our young players.
