San Antonio Bengal
My concern is their defense is ranked in the top 5. We beat Miami and Denver, both of whom have really good* defenses. I think it's just a matter if the road jinx continues or not. Will it be Jekyll or Hyde?* really good except for Denver's cheap cut blocking
jditty47
ya bring in ramsey so they can get more yards but more turnovers. he is retarded and will not be the savior to the skins.
WorldBFree
The Redskins have a slightly more talented team than we do, plus they are playing at home. It's going to take an inspired effort by the Bengals defense to keep Portis from wreaking havoc on Sunday. This is the last real good opportunity for the Bengals to get a road win... Let's hope they come out ready to play.
jditty47
more talented? i have to disagree. We have tons of talent. We just need to be more consistent. We can do alot more damage than the redskins could, all we need to do is execute.
Bengal_Smoov
I would say the Redskins are healthier than us right now. They do have few key injuries in LaVar and Jansen, but overall their main players are healthy. They have two explosive recievers in Coles and Gardner(Thrash can make plays too), Portis is a top 10 back regardless of stats, and their defense is winning games for them. The Redskins are a struggling team that is looking to win every game and will not take anyone lightly, like Denver did when we kicked their ass on MNF. BengalByTheBay
Both of these teams are Jekyll & Hyde as far as I can tell. The 'Skins seem to be able to consistently shoot themselves in the foot at bad times, while the Bengals are down-up-down-down-up..... This is, to me, a really hard game to call. So far this year the Bengals have played poorly on the road and I think that could be the case. The question will be if they are really getting things ironed out after beating Denver, playing generally ok against Tenn. and punching the Cowboys in the nose (courtesy mainly of their unwillingness to maintain possession of the ball).Should be interesting 'Skins fans. I'm making the trip and it looks like it'll be cold, so please refrain from dumping your beer on me!
San Antonio Bengal
Apparently it's hard for Vegas to call as well. Last line I saw was 3 points, which is the standard for home field advantage. Even though the Bengals D has its share of problems, the most points Washington has put up in a single game is 18. I'm thinking there will a lot of FGs.
BengalNation1281
Brunell only got 58 yards against the freakin' Lions!I can't wait to see what Tory, Deltha, and Madieu do to him. And bringing in Brunell in the first place was a bad idea...they already had Ramsey, and they should be playing him now. Brunell is done. Done, I tell you!BN1281
jditty47
they should not be playing ramsey unless they want to lose more games.
schweinhart
The 58 yds by Brunell were vs. a team in the top 5 of NFL in sacks. The Bengals are in the bottom five. Their pass rush is often too weak to hurry QB.Expect a year-best performance out of Brunell for this game. Gibbs stuck his credibility out on the line by signing Brunell for big money and Brunell will do everything he can to keep his coach from continuing to look like a dunce for that decision.Plus, Brunell has Laveranues Coles who is every bit the threat that Derrick Mason is for Titans. This is one of the match-ups that don't bode well for O'Neal. Gardener is as good as any WR besides Mason that the Bengals have played since Pittsburgh.Brunell should get at least 175 in air. Also, 4-5 in the NFC still has a good shot at wildcard due to mid-season records. Skins will be motivated in that direction.Still, if Bengals can keep total O to about the 350+ yds they gave up to Titans and hold the Skins to about 23 pts, they got a chance.
