Kirkendall
From Cincy E...Bengals coach Marvin Lewis confirmed this afternoon that Peter Warrick does have a “slight” fracture in his left fibula. Warrick has missed two games because of the injury and has had a limited role in two others, including Monday night against Denver. Lewis also said in his news conference that defensive tackle Tony Williams had surgery this morning on his broken and dislocated left ankle and will face a six-month recovery time. Langston Moore, who replaced Williams in the lineup, was moved to starter, and rookie Matthias Askew could be added to the rotation. The Bengals also listed seven players on the injury report: cornerback Rashad Bauman (Achilles) is doubtful; safety Rogers Beckett (concussion), running back Chris Perry (abdominal strain), wide receiver Kelley Washington (ankle) and Warrick are questionable; cornerback Reggie Myles (ankle) and defensive lineman Carl Powell (knee) are probable. The Bengals, 2-4, will play Sunday at Tennessee, which is 2-5.
kingwilly
Nice that Warrick got on the field but maybe we should hold him till he is fully healthy. It may just be me but seeing Perry on the injured report almost EVERY week does not inspire much confidence in his durability. From what I can tell he gets hurt in practice rather easily. Maybe this is due to him giving it an extra effort to leap-frog Watson to get some touches during games....OR it is that he is just not durable enough. IMHO the jury is WAY out on Perry. To think w could have taken one of the better DT's in that slot...ugh!
WHO DEY AGAIN?
I agree 100%. That DT sounds really good right now. It sounded really good back around draft time too. I hope I'm wrong but I think Perry has all the makings of a first round bust. I'm not saying he won't be productive but not worthy of a first round pick. Once again I hope that I'm wrong. BengalByTheBay
Bust might be a little strong. I mean, you couldn't expect him to see too much time right off the bat behind Rudi. Maybe I was being unrealistic, but I really thought he might add a different dimension as a check-down receiver for CP on 3rd downs. It sucks that we haven't seen enough of him to even know if he can do that. Pre-season he looked pretty quick which would've been a nice change of pace to complement Rudi. Nonetheless, I was shocked and dismayed by taking RB in the first round too. Whether he turns out to be a bust, okay, or a little more than that I still think we completely whiffed on filling an obvious (and continuing) need.BTW - what the hell is a "slight" fracture?
