Alverez
I'd like you honest opinion on Brandon Bennett. What'd you think of him when he played for you? (I'm a Panthers fan) We just signed him, and "d like to knwo what the fans thought of the guy.Any info would be cool. Thanks!
kevnz
Bennett is a really good special teamer, and can spell a RB on third downs, or other spots in the game. But he's not the back you want to carry anymore than maybe 5 times a game. Did I mention he's a good special teamer? He helped win a game for the Bengals last year in Pittsburg with a awsome return with less than two to go....But when he was the teams featured back at the begining of the season when Dillon was hurt and Rudi was in the doghouse the team couldn't rush at all with Bennett as the feature back. TippCityRick
He's a great guy and I'm glad he's getting this chance to play in his home area (I believe he's from SC). Not sure he's a long term answer in your system. Better at catching the ball out of the backfield. But I know he'll play hard 100% of the time. Good Luck Brandon!!! jditty47
he sucks and cant break tackles. he wont fumble the ball though but dont expect anything more than a 3rd stringer's stats or play ability from him.
BengalByTheBay
Bennett is okay -- valuable because he produces on ST. Out of the backfield he's really a 3rd down back, good blocker. Once or twice a year he can break a 30-yarder, but his footwork isn't good enough to make him a #1 back. He and Rudi were basically filling the same role (absent ST noted above) for the past couple of years before Rudi broke out. Good straight ahead runner though -- almost a FB type.
