Kitna Question - From a Seahawk Fan

First of all, congrats on what is turning out to be quite a season for you guys. I truly wish we could have put you in sole posession of first (for selfish reasons of course). My question is this: How is Jon percieved in Cincy with your 1st round QB that cost lots of $$ waiting in the wings? I ask because when Jon was here, I always liked him. He was a true underdog that always met the challenge with his chin up. He had the turnover problem (INT's and FUM's) with us too, but made alot of great plays as well. My hope is that he makes the pro bowl this year and gets the $$ he deserves and continues to move you guys into the playoffs (But lose to us in the Superbowl of course :) ).

Good luck to the rest of your season!

Kitna for most of the season, but maybe one game, has made us forget that we have Carson Palmer on payroll. I think Kitna is playing so well, that he could highly compete for next season's job.

Thanks for the props with the Bengals and here's hoping that the Seahawks can rebound from their recent misfortunes away from Seattle.

The Steelers have more class than to let losses cause dissention. We stick together. Our players have stood behind our coach (unlike the Raiders) and our ownership stands behind our coaches (unlike Mike Brown).

When losses start piling up, pointing fingers only makes matters worse. The only way to rebound is by sticking together.

Tell that to your owner so he will give Marvin Lewis a chance.

After Sunday it's back to the Basement.

Steelers 31

Bengals 0

I'm sorry it has to be this way

I think it's interesting that when playing the Chiefs we had a huge turnout it troll posts from KC fans. Hell, they were winning.

Now that we play Pitt, we have one anger-filled fan groping for a return to the top.

Lambert, you say not to live in the past...quit talking about it. You say to face the facts, here are the facts of the present...Cincy (6-5), Pitt (4-7). All that matters is this Sunday, and Cincy has a better team right now.

I loved the trash-talk from KC fans, they were excited about their team, as well they should be. And it was a good time getting into it with them leading up to game-day.

Lambert, I just feel sorry for you. Enjoy the loss and the rebuilding years.

Note: You might want to tell Cowher to draft RB's and a QB. Defense can't win it all. Neither can an O-line stocked with 1st rounders. You also need talent.

Kitna evokes a strong reaction one way or another from everybody. A lot of it depends on how he's done in the previous game ..... quarter ...... series ....

On this board, Kitna gets about the fairest treatment I've seen. He's got a share of loyal fans and a couple that are on the other side. All of those statements are about his game though. Everyone here and even his worst critics on other boards admit that he's got good leadership skills and is a real student of the game. In short, not everyone trusts him in a game, but they all admire him personally. He's just a likeable sort of person.

I think the new coaching regime has done wonders for him. He's not trying to do everything himself now, and he's learned to depend on the people around him. Kitnas biggest problem now is the perception of what has gone on in the past. Kinda like the rest of the team. If the Bengals with Kitna at qb can put together a winning season, it'll go a long way towards erasing the perceptions, and get them both a modicum of respect.

PS Your game might have turned out a little different without the little extra time the other guys got.
