After watching the Cleveland game, I am beginning to take the position of many of the guys who post here by saying we are abandoning the run. Regardless of whether we are giving up the running game or not, receivers need to catch the darn football. Reading Gemmer's article this morning, and his insistence that Palmer "throws too hard" doesn't make a lot of sense. In my limited about of football playing as a youth, the coach always instructed the QB to throw the ball hard to cut down on interceptions. Here we are in the NFL, and there should not be any receiver who cannot catch a ball because it was "thrown too hard." Palmer was making excellent throws; the people who normally drop them, i.e., Stewart, Washington, Kelly continued to do so, and our best pass receiver, CJ had problems. Where was TJ? For heaven's sake folks, these receivers have had many months of getting acclimated to Carson's throws; they need to step up. Carson: take a lesson from Boomer and get on these guys.
