bengalsfan33
Bengals receiver Chad Johnson thinks the Browns secondary might be feeling a little nervous and queasy this week. All four members of the Browns' starting secondary received a FedEx package when they arrived at Browns Headquarters Wednesday. The package contained a bottle of Pepto Bismol and a handwritten note: "Just to add a little color and relief to your week - Chad." He scribbled his autograph under the message: Chad Johnson #85. Asked if the package was legitimate or if someone is just trying to rile the Browns, Browns safety Earl Little pointed to the shipping label marked "Chad Johnson, One Paul Brown Drive, Cincinnati" and displayed the attached note. "I know Chad," Little said. "That's just his personality. But it's going to be all serious on Sunday. "We're both from Liberty City (Fla.). I know how he is. Right now it's all fun and games, but once we play in between those lines and the clock is running, I have to have him." Johnson admitted being responsible for the gifts. "I sent all the Browns DBs some Pepto Bismol, to cure them of their sickness," Johnson told the Associated Press. "They're going to get tired of covering me." Plus, Johnson told the Bengals web site that he's trying to give a plug to his charity. Johnson said that for every touchdown he scores in the month of October, Pepto is going to donate money to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. "All those guys know me. They know my personality. They're not going to take it personally," Johnson told bengals.com. Johnson had the first multiple-touchdown game of his pro career in the Bengals 21-14 win at Cleveland last year. In six career games against the Browns, Johnson has 21 receptions for 322 yards and four touchdowns. Johnson led the AFC with 1,355 receiving yards last year. He has 20 receptions for 297 yards and one touchdown this season. "This game is about competition regardless," cornerback Daylon McCutcheon said. "Without or without the (Pepto), he's one of the best receivers in the league. We're going to go out there and answer the challenge." "He has everything that you would want in a wide receiver," Little said. "He's a guy that wants the ball and he's very vocal about it. He's very emotional, and he has fun with it at the same time." This isn't the first time Johnson has provided fodder to an opposing locker room. In the week before the Bengals hosted 9-0 Kansas City last November, Johnson guaranteed a Cincinnati victory. The Bengals did win, 24-19, and Johnson caught seven passes for 74 yards in the game. Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer said Johnson's energy and antics aren't a distraction or a problem. "If anything it puts more pressure on him," Palmer said. "He's a guy with broad shoulders that can withstand that added pressure and make plays and back up some of the things he says." Come Sunday, Johnson will certainly have even more to say. "The other guys got (their packages) before I got mine," McCutcheon said. "And I didn't believe them. But when I actually saw it, it was hilarious. "Honestly, I don't take it personal. I met him before. We've talked during the offseason - he's a cool guy. I think he likes to have fun. I think he enjoys the game, and that's what it's all about." http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/news_room/n...rts/3289.0.html
