kingwilly
Here is the link:http://www.nfl.com/news/story/7777675What do you think? Is two games too much? Not enough? Just right?Seemed like the case was pretty thin but serious enough that he chose to plea down than go to trial, too much to risk.I think 2 games is too little. Players botch the ganja-piss test a couple/few times and get 4 games.Whatever. Nice choices, Jamal...er...Cokey
Barbarian
*Cough* *Cough*--NFL Forum--*Cough*Like I stated before, it must be nice to be a rich moronic athlete in this country--you even get to make the terms WHEN AND WHERE you serve your time!!!!!The rest of us would be serving hard time in a "Federal 'POUND ME IN THE ASS' Prison". kybengalsfan
This is an absurd decision. A common person would have gone straight to prison, not been able to afford a high priced liar to defend him, and would probably have lost his job. Poor Mr. Lewis has to miss every bit of two games. Oh, boy, I am sure his self-esteem will be crushed. If anything, it will probably only help the Crapbirds because he will come back with fresh legs to play against his rivals within the division. Did he not already test positive on a couple of occasions for Cocaine during drug testing? It is all about money, folks.

Steel Legends
If this was anyone of the ordinary people in society we would of been sentenced immediately. To think that the court system would allow him that flexibility is such an injustice. This kind of thing makes me angry and I work in public safety. kybengalsfan
Yeah, the penalty was too lenient. Ban him and the rest of the drug crazed athletes for life and you will have a strong deterrent effect. At the present time the penalties are a joke. Rose got banished from life from baseball, but other felons like Lewis get a slap on the wrist. Remember, Lewis also, like most felons, strongly spoke of his "innocence" and that he would prove it. Sure did! You best believe the Feds had a good case on him, because his high paid liars would have gone for a jury trial if the evidence was not overwhelming. Now you have pothead Williams wanting to return to play for only one year. Why? To get himself out of the 8 million or so he would have to pay if he doesn't. He has some serious problems with coming back to the NFL, not the least of which is his credibility. What team would really want him? Oh.....with Lewis gone for a couple of months, perhaps he would like to join the Ravens? Oh, yes, they would welcome him with open arms. After all, didn't the coach make Lewis a captain for the Sunday night game because of all the adversity poor Jamal has gone thru? Give me a break! That sleazy coach is worse than Lewis; absolutely no morals.
