belmontbengal
Sigh.Sometimes, I ask, why me? Why must I have been a Bengals fan? Seriously. Although, at first I had an inclination to blame the refs for this one since that was a horrid call in the end zone on James. But then, I remember all the missed tackles and general ineptitude of our piss poor defense, and I get smacked back to reality. We just are NOT a very good team right now. Pittsburgh could have ran on us all day and I am frankly curious as to why they didn't run more than what they did. We had no answers. And for a brief moment I actually doubted Carson Palmer too...The thing is, he is a rookie, when you put the onus of the game on a rookie QB you are playing with fire. Our defense and Kenny Watkins inability to hang onto a football did just that today. So, don't blame the refs. Look in the mirror, Cincinnati, blame yourselves.(a bit of a ramble, but it sums up nicely how I feel right now, specially after the Bucks blew it last night, thanks for watching)
Tiger Stripes
were not a good team right now and it will be awhile before we are, fact is we just plain suck.
belmontbengal
This game was a tough one to watch. I wasn't terribly impressed with the Steelers defense most of the day. They did make a play when they had to, but they certainly didn't remind me of the D back even a few years ago. I am so disappointed with today...I can't even imagine what is goin on in the Bengals clubhouse right now...
Bobcat Bengal
It's just a matter of time before all the pundits and critics start talking about the 'same ol bengals' and this year's season ticket holders start selling their tickets back to steelers and browns fans....ah, now THIS is what being a Bengal's fan is all about... belmontbengal
Heheh, Terry, I have refused for many years to go to a Bengals game. Mike Brown's regime was the biggest reason. That may change now that things seem to be in better hands.Sorry if I came across as doom and gloom. I just get tired of losing. I am human. Anyhow, off we go to the bye week...maybe Marvin can sign up some guys who can actually 1. put themselves in position to make a play then 2. make that play. (Sigh) I guess this is why Barbarian still keeps calling them the Bungles. I was totally embarassed for the team today, and to be a Bengals fan.I'm emblazoned with my hat and cap, cheering in a hostile crowd, and then they (since it wasn't Carson's fault ) pull this s**t. I eft the bar with my tail between my legs.Yeah, its a new regime and all, but this game SUUUURE looked like some good ol fashioned.....BUNGLES football.
