Positives for Week 3

OK, we've had a lot of negatives but let's see if we can dig up some positives to note. Here are a few of mine.

- As bad as Palmer was abused by the defense, I was happy to see after Palmer was knocked down everytime he got right back on his feet. That's a good thing.

- When Palmer didn't leave the pocket, he looked very posed.

- When the offense was in hurry up mode -- except towards the end of the game -- they looked to get into a good rythem.

- Shayne Graham seems to be returning to form.

- TJ Houshmandzadeh has really impressed me with some of his catches, consistancy, and nicely run routes.

(I've got nothing for the defense)

Come on guys, what else? We could go on and on about the bad things that happened Sunday -- which I'm sure we'll hear about it all week long -- but some positives did come out of Sunday.

Yes, TJ did look good, as well as Kelly Washington's catches. They picked up well in PDub's absence.

I have to agree with you about Palmer doing a lot of good things, and I suppose the offensive line moved well, in some cases, to give Rudi running room. I also suspect that Rudi's quickness may have helped him, so I am not sure if the running defensive was really that good at all.

I thought O'Neal looked good on the D, as well as Madieu. Tory James and the "flu" did not. Myself and a lot of Bengals fans are having second thoughts about the value of keeping James around. Doubt if he will be here next year.

I am struggling to think of anything else positive to say about the Defense

I'm pretty positive that Alina Vacariu is an absolute babe!!

Shayne Graham seems to be returning to form.

I didn't realize he was having any problems. He only missed one long FG this year.

(I've got nothing for the defense)

Tough to find a positive for the defense. Didn't they force some turnovers though? I'm positive they're trying. Maybe too hard and getting themselves out of position. However, the tackling needs help. And FAST!

I meant back in form such as he's playing like the form he played in 2003. He came back in 2003 form. Bad choice of words...

One of the two fumbles was because Boller just lost it, it didn't get stripped or anything.

I would've rather heard Simmons, Smith, or somebody hit him and jarred it loose. Like I said in another post, I didn't see the game, I guess that was far less painful than actually watching it!

Yea, there was no one around Boller.. and it was incredibly painful to watch.
