schweinhart
Nate Webster will get an MRI for his patella tendon injury.Best case scenario, he's probably out for the Steelers at the very least.Who will play MLB next week?Shift Hardy back and start Wilkins or one of the rooks Miller or Landon Johnson on the strong side?Shift Simmons back and keep Hardy where he's at and let the rooks go weakside?Bring up Larry Stevens from the practice squad and give him a whirl at MLB, which will force a roster cut?Or sign somebody else? JPW
Is Miller healthy yet?
schweinhart
He was still out w/ the ankle injury, but maybe he'll be ready by Sunday.I just don't know about using him in the middle. He'll be giving up 100 pounds in many cases if an O-lineman gets out to block him. I think you'd see even bigger holes up the middle than now. Kirkendall
I don't think Miller is ready to play first team MLB. He needs to gain some weight or something.. he was getting pushed around plenty of times during first team play during the pre-season. The Brew Man
Our middle just gets softer and softer. You saw if when McMicheal and Chambers exposed it last week. You saw it yesterday on that Hymes TD as well as Lewis looking like Barry Sanders. If we dont shore up the middle of the D, its gonna be a long year im afraid. IckeyShuffle
undersized LB's, 2nd string safeties and a DL that is getting blown off the ball and only offering arm tackles. not a good formula. Even though Leslie Frazier was my college football coach and I'm biased for him, he's not getting the job done as Def. co-ord. We don't need to be crying for Kitna, we need to get Marvin more hands on for the defense at the expense of Frazier.

kevnz
I'd actually like to see Simmons go back to the middle and try out either Miller or Johnson on the outside to take advantage of their speed. But short term I see Ross playing the middle. schweinhart
With Ross apparently now out of the picture and Miller the preliminary choice to start for Webster, who gets activated from the practice squad or signed if Webster is placed on IR?Do Bengals activate Mabry at center to backup Fontenot w/ Braham already out vs. Steelers and Moore still hurt since emergency center Steinbach might have to play LT if Levi can't go?Or activate or sign a LB?Larry Stevens on the practice squad looked good at OLB and MLB in pre-season.Jason Gildon was never picked up after he was cut by Bills. Gildon's seen a lot of Steelers games and might help in more ways than vs. Steelers.Or try to sign a DT to try to stop the bleeding from the run?
