Perry injures hamstring

The News

Bengals' rookie running back Chris Perry left Friday night's preseason game against the Colts in the second half with a pulled hamstring. He had 14 carries for 63 yards before getting hurt.

I hear stuff like that and all I can think about is Ki Jana Carter.. I know the injuries are different.. but are the Bengals snake-bitten with injuries to its up-and-coming running backs?

Last night was the first time I got to witness a game this year, and I was impressed with the guy. However, I do believe he was showing some affects from the hamstring WAY back from the Senior Bowl, otherwise, why wouldn't he have played in that game?

Is a pulled hammy worse than a strained hammy, or vice versa?

A pulled hammy is worse and could put him out 1/2 the season or more. A strained one would be a few weeks depending on where on the string the strain is.

I went to the game last night and saw him walking off the field. He wasn't limping and thats good. It's too bad, he finally was running like he should. The first few games he looked like a 1st round bust. Last night he was hitting the holes quickly and getting the most yards possible out of each run.

I think Watson had won the #2 back job anyway. He has looked good in all games. Both FBs looked good last night. Will they keep 2 FBs?

From reading bengals.com this morning, it doesn't look like the injury is serious, and he is pretty much good to go for the Jets game.

why wouldnt we cut stewart and keep both FB's?

That'd be great if either FB could play TE.

Kelly can't catch and Schobel--who knows if he'll play.

Stewart is a decent pass catching TE. We need that this year from somebody.
