jditty47
This is what he had to say about Cincy:8. Is Cincinnati doing the right thing by starting Carson Palmer? I saw Palmer play this weekend and I was pretty impressed with how he marched up and down the field against New England's No. 1 defense. I'm excited about what he can do. Rudi Johnson also looked like he hadn't missed a step from last season. Corey Dillon is a huge addition for New England but won't be missed in Cincinnati, thanks to Johnson. The defense also looks improved. Duane Clemons, who signed with the team last season, looks really good. The secondary looks a lot better. Marvin Lewis' fingerprints are all over this defense. It's exciting in Cincinnati. The Bengals have a chance to win the division and make some noise in the playoffs. The Bengals can play with anybody, including the Patriots. That's saying something for a team that has struggled as much as the Bengals in past years.
kevnz
What else would Chris say? He's a former Bengal. Actually, if you read what a lot of the former players are saying they pretty much mirror Chris....Those guys are fans and they want to see the team do good, but they are also football players with a better understanding of the game then a lot of the so called experts on ESPN and what ever else that have never played the game, or in a few peoples cases played through a haze of cocaine so he doens't really understand cause he's too busy yelling *cough*Michael Irvin*cough* Both Chris and Boomer have been huge proponents of Carson...Hell Boomer gave Carson a Bengals helmet well before the draft and actively lobbied for the team to draft him....Those guys love the Bengals and want to see the team return to glory, hell, probably more than us, do you honestly think they would say give Carson the ball if they thought the team would drop off? Tampa Bengal
Yeah its nice to see that they have team loyalty but it would be good to see some old Bengals on the sidelines during games. A lot of other teams have players there and I don't know why we don't embrace our past.NOTE: exclude the past from 1991-2002
jditty47
most of our guys are in the booth. I doubt i would recognize any other bengal players from the past besides the ones in the booth....
