kingwilly Posted December 22, 2016 Report Posted December 22, 2016 I know. I's really early but whatever. Let's call it a list for Santa Claus. I'm just going to go round by round in a general way, with an extra pick or two for comps for Sanu (r4) and Jones (r3). Maybe its a bit of wishful thinking but as things clarify, I'll tighten it up. Bengals picks only. r1 - Jamal Adams FS 6-0, 210 LSU r2 - Mason Cole C 6-5, 305 Michigan r3 - Devonte Fields OLB 6-3, 245 Louisville r3 - comp - Daeshon Hall DE 6-5, 260 Texas A&M r4 - Jalen Reeves-Maybin LB 6-0, 230 Louisville r4 - comp - Travin Dural WR 6-2, 195 LSU r5 - Kareem Hunt RB 5-11, 225 Toledo r6 - Gavin Andrews - OG - 6-4, 330 Oregon St. r7 - Brendan Langley - CB - 6-0, 190 Lamar Quote
ArmyBengal Posted December 22, 2016 Report Posted December 22, 2016 I fully expect 4 comp picks this year. Can't really comment on the players much, as I've just started going through them. As much as I might like to see a Center taken early, I don't expect one to be taken at all. They simply feel Bodine does a good job in the middle. Love doubling up at the LB spot. I think that's a must at this point in time. Quote
kingwilly Posted February 28, 2017 Author Report Posted February 28, 2017 Consider this my do-over update, now with all the picks identified (back-up pick options in parenth for r1-r3) r1 - 9 - Reuben Foster- LB Alabama ( Corey Davis WR Western Michigan) r2 - 41 - Garrett Bolles OT Utah ( Raekwon McMillan LB Ohio State) r3 - 73 - Rasul Douglas CB West Virginia (Joe Mixon RB Oklahoma) r4 - 116 - Tyus Bowser OLB Houston r4 - 138 - Noah Brown WR Ohio State r5 - 153 - Daeshon Hall DE Texas A&M r6 - 193 - Tarean Folston RB Notre Dame (if hye take Mixon, this could be an OT) r6 - 217 - Deatrich Wise DE Arkansas r7 - 227 - Blake Jarwin TE Oklahoma State r7 - 251 - Jordan Morgan OG Kutztown Mixon (if they determine he has gained some maturity) could be a big steal. Let me know what you think. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted April 22, 2017 Report Posted April 22, 2017 Funny how things move along. At that point, Bowser was thought to be a 4th round talent. Now, people think he's a 1st rounder. I use to do mocks religiously, but got away from it. However, if I were hoping for players to fall "slightly", it would look something like this. 1. John Ross, WR, Washington- Take the top off the defense with that speed and is a kick return guy as well. 2. Evan Engram, TE, Ole Miss- Probably goes sooner, but I would love this pick with Eifert being a FA in 2018 and always dinged. 3. Terell Basham, DE, Ohio- The Bengals are thought to have a high grade on him and they could use the depth. 4a. Samaje Perine, RB, Oklahoma- Might go sooner as well. I really like what he brings. 4b. Julie'n Davenport, OT, Bucknell- Needs development but has been a starting LT. Depth for RT at the worst. 5a. Brandon Wilson, CB/WR/KR, Houston- More speed and extremely versatile. Most snaps at CB. 5b. Zane Gonzalez, K, Arizona St.- This is a guy I really hope they go after. 6a. Josh Harvey-Clemons, SS/LB, Lousiville- Risk pick and a tweener, but I like his potential on defense. 6b. Stevie Tu'ikolovatu, NT, USC- Peko is gone and they need depth. He may go sooner as well. 7a. Samson Ebukam, Eastern Washington, LB- Who knows ?? The Bengals brought him in and it's the 7th round. 7b. Jon Toth, OC, Kentucky- 4 year starter in the SEC and provides depth. They aren't replacing Bodine. Quote
