Well, they stopped the losing streak last night and low and behold, a starter actually notched a win last night.

DeSclafani is making the Reds front office look very smart in the Latos trade.

Both of his starts have been quality starts, he has a 1.38 ERA, and struck out 11 over 13 innings pitched.

He's pretty muched mirrored Cueto through two start each.

While that may not last long term, it's certainly something nice to see at this point when considering the questions heading into the season.

In contrast, Latos has two losses in his both of his starts, has a 17+ ERA, has only pitched in a little over 4 innings total, and struck out 5.

I forgot to add that I felt Bruce and Bryd might set a record for strikeouts from an outfield this season and i'm still on track with that thought.

Add in Hamilton's strikeouts to this point and they really need to get on it.

Bruce has 11 SO's, Byrd has 9 SO's, and Hamilton has 9 SO's.

Byrd has been a complete non-factor hitting to this point as well.

It's early and i'm not saying the sky is falling, but a combined .219 BA for your starting outfield SUCKS BALLS !!!

Watch, in the month of May, Bruce will be player of the month.

time to start working in the bench players and find someone that is hitting.

The Pirates and Nationals have a couple OF's apiece that are striking out alot, but we have 3 OF's that are in the top 14 in SO's in the NL.

Again, it's early, but it's a trend i'd rather see reversed sooner rather than later.
