EdwardG Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 It's finally time to see some guys in action. It's time for some pregame predictions and observations.1. I think Carson Palmer will throw two picks and one touchdown pass. That prediction is based on some rumor I heard that he will get a good amount of playing time. If he only gets 5 or 6 pass attempts, then hopefully he won't get 2 picks.2. I can't wait to see some of those rookies in action. Specifically, I want to see Madieu and Andrews since they have received a little training camp hype. Ratcliff and Perry should also be interesting.Anyway, the game is set for 7:30 p.m. It is on channel Fox 19 in Cincinnati, and Channel 53 in Columbus (which I believe is channel 13 on cable). All in all, I am much more interested in this preseason game than in most past preseason games, simply because of all the new players we have in fold. Quote
LABengalsFan09 Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 Other than the obvious rookies in the secondary to watch, I think I am most curious about how Matthias Askew has progressed and what type of fight he has in him....I am going to be relying heavily on you guys to give me updates on the action through the threads since I am going to have to Gamecast it @ work...my prediction is Madieu gets his hands on one and Robert Geathers gets a late sack to seal a victory...PS, Rudi pancakes Rhonde on his way into the endzone!!!!!!!!!!!!!Who-Dey :player: :player: :player: :player: Quote
CTBengalsFan Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 i'm not gonna get to watch the game Quote
bengalsfan33 Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 I will be listening to every minute of this one! Quote
Skilly McRailnob Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 who is gonna tape the game and send it to me??? Quote
IfItsBrownFlushItDown Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 Is anyone gonna hit up the chat tonight? Quote
xjjeep90 Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 I hope they broadcast the game on their radio affiliate here in Louisville because it's probably the only way I will be able to follow the game. Quote
EdwardG Posted August 16, 2004 Author Report Posted August 16, 2004 I might hit up chat if we have a few others in there. Otherwise, I'll just keep people updated on this thread. Quote
LABengalsFan09 Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 Otherwise, I'll just keep people updated on this thread. Nice one. :player: :player: Quote
kevnz Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 I expect Carson to have a pretty good game...Not for any fanboy reasons...The first team will be playing into the 2nd and I have a feeling Tampa will only play their starters for a series or two, so the edge goes to Palmer versus the backup d of the Bucs. I'll also be very interested in any injuries to the first team players for having to play the extra time. Quote
EdwardG Posted August 16, 2004 Author Report Posted August 16, 2004 Of course, I'll only give updates if I can get the game myself. Has anyone in Columbus heard of Channel 53? Quote
IfItsBrownFlushItDown Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 Why can't the time pass faster??I'm interested to see the Casey Bramlet/Scott Rislov competition! I hope this D comes to play. That way, Palmer can throw 1TD 2INTS and still be alright. Quote
BengalsMan3203 Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 Hello, My 1st post here. Glad to see yet another good website up and running for the fans of Cincinnati. I'm also a member of Redszone.com.These are 2 great sites for the fans!Anywho, I'm from columbus, and I checked out Channel 53 ( aka Whoo) and they don't have the game listed on the TV Guide. Im not sure wether it is b/c of the delay or what. But Hopefully its on.If not, what is a radio station that will cover the game snice the Reds are playing at 7 also? Thanks. Quote
Chad Johnson Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 what about dayton? I assume itlll be on here... And No way Carson throws 2 picks. 1 max and the TD count for him will be one or two depending on how we go with the ground attack... Quote
EdwardG Posted August 16, 2004 Author Report Posted August 16, 2004 Bengla Man - Whoo? Is that what Channel 53 is? I've never heard of it. Anyway, the Dispatch says it will be on Channel 53. I bet the listings might not have that, as they are usually set a week or so in advance. Also, I hope Carson doesn't throw any picks, but I'm sure you guys remember his last debut verses the Jets. I think his biggest flaw is that he doesn't see the whole field yet, (not many young players do), but that will lead to a few picks. My hope is that he can come back after throwing a pick and throw a few touchdowns as well (just as he did last preseason). Quote
LABengalsFan09 Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 Anyone remember that game versus the Lions last year???? Quote
BengalsMan3203 Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 Yes, Its the name of the network I think. WB53 it also goes by. Quote
Tiger Stripes Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 it will be on fox in dayton as bengals.com reported. Quote
EdwardG Posted August 16, 2004 Author Report Posted August 16, 2004 Anyone remember that game versus the Lions last year????I sure do, and Palmer is such a strong an accurate passer that he should have a few games like that (even though in that Lions game I think they were playing Howdy doody in the secondary).
