shworge
I read this in the Dayton Daily News today:The club made Rudi Johnson a strong long-term offer in the offseason, but he rejected it because he wants to test free agency. If he goes on the open market, he'll likely be playing elsewhere in '05.Everything I've heard up to this point is that the Bengals never officially put an offer on the table and that Rudi was disappointed a deal was never done. If this is true why is this just coming out now and why doesn't anyone else have this info?

USCTrojanman
Big USC and college football fan here. Chris Perry is a gazelle. He might be as good as Rudi Johnson and I do not think will disappoint you. The only problem with him may be the high workload he got at Michigan. LABengalsFan09
Welcome USCTrojanMan, Good to see another one of us... I am always defending the Trojans and the Pac-10 here, but football doesn't seem to exist outside of the Big 10, despite the fact that the Trojans crushed the last 2 Big 10 champs... I'm not sold on Perry though, Big 10 backs for whatever reason never seem to pan out...I hope that it works though....GO Trojans!Who-Dey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's exactly what I was thinking. Maybe they weren't planning on taking a first round RB until Rudi turned down their long term offer. Not only does Perry give the Bengals insurance but leverage in the Rudi negotiations as well.

BTW - You didn't "crush" the last two big 10 champs. If I recall correctly, the big-10 champ before Michigan was OSU. And if I recall correctly, OSU is still the last team to win the national title outright. You little USC fans crack me up..

LOL - wherever anyone challenges the supremacy of the Big Ten, no matter how slight, I will be there with my Buckeye flag waving. Do you know if NFL network has rescheduled the broadcast of tonight's game yet? Rumor has it 8 pm on Tuesday, but I'm not sure (I still don't have the NFL network
