skyline
Just a little update. They've won 6 of their last 8 and are up 2-1 on the Pirates with a day game today. Would be a huge win for them...it would put them back at .500. Sean Marshall came back last night, which was GREAT to see.
ArmyBengal
Yeah, I think this is pretty much what we were talking about early on.A slow start to things before they start getting into a groove. How far the groove goes or lasts is yet to be determined, but they are playing pretty well. How about Simon in the starter's rotation ?? I can't say as I saw that happening.

He's really only got two pitches and throws a fastball more often than anything else.
ArmyBengal
Well, they are playing the Pirates again, so I just replied here. They are back at .500 again (35-35) after winning their last 3 in a row. They are (17-17) at home and (18-18) on the road. Funny.Simon hit his 10th win of the season.Hamilton is doing better than I expected him to do with his hitting. It's just odd that I haven't really been watching many games and am just not as on it with the Reds this season.Hence the absence of game threads huh ?? ArmyBengal
Cingrani went from starter, to bullpen, to being sent down to AAA.Good God.How this team blew that 8-0 lead the other night baffles me to no end.Good God again.
semiotter
the injury bug has bitten the Reds to hard this year.....
ArmyBengal
I was at the game last night and it was great to see them get production from some of the other guys in a comeback win.Chapman broke the MLB record for consecutive innings with a strikeout in style last night in striking out the inning and a last pitch of 103mph.Good time at the ballpark. redsbengalsbucks
Im jealous, a contractor that has been working at my job site for over a year was at the game last night also. He had seats 6 rows behind 1st base dugout. Would have been a fun game to be at.
ArmyBengal
We were in the mid deck on the 3rd base line, but all seats are pretty good there. We were where we were to catch the fireworks show they do after games on Friday's.If you haven't caught one of those, you should. The show alone is worth the price of admission. The game last night AND the fireworks ?? Heck of a good evening !!!

Mainly because they beat the cards and Chapman went to 104 MPH twice.
